My Amana oven door will not shut tightly.

I was replacing an oven igniter. When I went to close the oven door, it would no longer close tightly.

I think tesher means T Shirt. I did mine with a par if cotton socks and it worked great

Cheaper than buying new hinges as these guys want to sell us.

Twist a tesher like a roll and put it betwing the door and the frame of stove then close the door gently to bring back the hinges to position.

Oven wont light

Chances are you have an oven igniter that is not working - pilot lights are no longer used because of energy consumption. That igniter needs to be replaced for the oven to light up and function.

I have an amana acs 3350 that keeps shutting off when it gets hot. The tips i research tell me that either the fan is dead or the door is not shutting correctly. The fan would cool down the control board?...

Hi

This means a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Oven door will not shut tight at top

The door is not tight per say. The seal is hat determines if it is properly closed. Check to see if the seal is tight all the way around(use a strip of paper to check consistency). If it is not sealing the hinges are tweeked and need replacing.

Oven door not sealing?

These doors have springs to shut them. If you can figure out how to get to the springs usually you will see that one is either unhooked or unattached at one end. If broken on the end bend another hook into it and add a pice of wire long enough to make up the broken difference.

Amana Range ARG7300W -- igniter problem back??

I am sure you noticed where it is located. A gas oven cycles the same as an electric. depending on the number of times the door is opened and the length of time you operator the oven. Our furnace was acting up one night last winter and I turned the oven on warm with the door cracked open until I could get the part for the furnace in the morning and our igniter went out on the oven. Also try not to touch the element on the igniter when you install the new one.

Self cleaning oven door locked before I got the door closed.

Try holding in on the door switch while resetting the clean cycle.
This should rotate the latch. Once the cycle starts, cancel it. The latch should go to the unlock position.

You will have to hold in on the door switch during all these steps.

If this does not work, post back with the complete model number from the oven and I will see what else I can come up with.
