I am a senior and I purchased my Asus Eee Pc X101CH-EU17BKCB after windows updates I have had problems starting my computer. The curser just hands there, I have removed battery and restarted it - open...

I am a senior geek. congrats-so far best problem explain i have encountered here.
there r a number of possibilities.
start by trying to boot into safe mode. press F8 repeatedly after u turn on till u get menu - If it won't boot to safe mode go to last para @ end
start with the repair your computer and see if windoz can fix itself
if not do it again and select with networking option.
if it boots you can clk START and type MSCONFIG - enter
clk DIAGNOSTIC STARTUP and OK out
try rebooting normally
if it reboots, there is a driver problem.
msconfig diag mode disables everything that is not needed to boot. now u must go in and start re-enabling things till u find the one that hangs it. Start with items under SERVICES then STARTUP.
if u find one - time for another question.
if none of this works u may need to do a system RECOVERY.
W.A.R.N.I.N.G. - this deletes everything on ur system and does a clean install. If u need to get ur stuff off first - u can do that in safe mode (if u can get to it) or by removing HDD and connecting to another computer as an external USB drive..
good luck

Asus 1225b slow boot win 7

Most likely Yes. Her are some tips: http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/10things/10-ways-to-speed-up-windows-7/3332 Use freeware CCLEANER: http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ This freeware program has many useful tools. The cleaner will remove junk and free up disk space. In the TOOLS section, STARTUP section, disable ALL unnecessary startup programs. Remember, almost every program you install wants to startup at boot, which, in most cases isn't necessary. You can configure what you need at start, use CCLEANER, TOOLS, STARTUP.

Schedule record application starts automatically in background when system restats

Try this:

Disabling Startup Programs in Windows For some programs, it's smart to have them start with Windows, such as anti-virus and firewall software. However, for most programs, starting them at boot-up just wastes resources and extends startup time. There is a tool installed with Windows, called MSConfig, that allows you to quickly and easily see what's running at startup and disable the programs you prefer to run on our own after startup as needed. This tool is available and can be used to disable startup programs in Windows 7, Vista, and XP.
NOTE: MSConfig can be used to configure several things other than just startup programs, so be careful what you do with it. If you're not sure about using it, just follow the steps in this article and you should be fine.
To run MSConfig, open the Start menu and type "msconfig.exe" (without the quotes) in the Search box. As you type, results display. When you see "msconfig.exe," click on it or press Enter, if it is highlighted.
NOTE: If you are using Windows XP, open the Run dialog box from the Start menu, type "msconfig.exe" in the Open edit box, and click OK.

Click the Startup tab on the System Configuration main window. A list of all the startup programs displays with a check box next to each one. To prevent a program from starting up with Windows, select the check box next to the desired program so there is NO check mark in the box. Click OK once you have made your choices.

A dialog box displays telling you that you may need to restart your computer for the changes to take affect. Click Restart to restart your computer immediately. If are not ready to restart your computer, click Exit without restart.

My asus eee pc gets to the window s xp loading page and continues to reload with out going further. Any suggestions?

Hi,

If your system is stuck on the Windows Loading Screen you can try to boot using Safe Mode by restarting the computer and tapping F8 while it is booting. When it successfully load the Operating system you can disable some startups on the machine. Click on Start then click on RUN, type MSCONFIG on the dialog box located on the lower left of your screen. Then Click on the SERVICES tab. Put a tick on Hide All Microsoft Services then click on Disable All button. Restart the computer see if it will works. If not then you need to Reinstall the Operating System to your machine.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Every time i turn on my laptop i get a massage. this program cannot display the webpage

You will probably need to disable something in your startup using msconfig. Go to Start>Run>msconfig then press enter. Disable all unnecessary startup items. You will also want to uninstall any unneeded programs, then do a registry cleanup. It sounds like you are just trying to connect to broken link on startup.
