Ebay has always been there for me but it is risky. Make sure you know what your bidding on. Do your research. Pricewatch.com is another. Also make sure the settings in your bios hasen't changed. Set all values to Default may also help. Hope this helps.

Tomtec 10" has no display

Connect an external display to the monitor out of the PC and if there is display then the fault is confirmed. You will need to check within to see if the fault is linked to the power supply , to the mother board, the display or to the linking cords.

It seem that changing the mother board was needed to confirm as there seems to be a problem related to non communication of the mother board with the CPU, RAM and sections.
Swap and confirm.

XPS M1210 Laptop turn on but no display

Mke sure your displ;ay is selected, hold down the Fn key and press the F8 key.
Connect a know working monitor to the laptop, again hold down the Fn key while pressing the F8.
If the external monitor works then your display is defective, if not then the onboard video is defective and you will need to replace the mother board.
I hope thisd helps.
Good luck and have a pleasent day.

Try removing RAM, one stick at a time and see if it boots up. Sounds like a memory issue.
Also, check and make sure all the cables on the mother board are tightly secured.
Thanks.

If your display is not coming then try the below steps to resolve it.
  1. Unplug your system to avoid power shocks
  2. Open the cabinet and look for RAM on the mother board.
  3. Take that RAM out of the slot and clean it with "IP".This is a type of chemical and let it dry.If you are not having IP then clean it with an ordinary "Eraser"
  4. Then put it in the slot very carefully.
  5. Plug the power and see that display is there or not ,if not then again turn off the power and take the RAM out
  6. Put it in the other slot and try again.
  7. If you are successful then close the cabinet.
  8. If you are not getting display then try changing Ram.
  9. Also check the on board video card.
Thanks
Have a great day

Do you have any external graphic card to which the LCD monitor is connected?Or is it connected directly to an inbuilt graphic card on the mother board?

Another thing does the CPU power up?

No display

Try swaping your memory with a known good stick of ram.
Are you sure your monitor is good? Video cables?
Try changing (if pci) slots when installing video card.
Other than these 3 things the only pretty sure thing is; sorry, mother board or cpu.
