Hi. You should immediately take the battery out of the phone Take the phone apart as much as you can. The circuit board needs to be sprayed with acetone then blow-dried. Take it to the nearest cell repair shop to do this. It should be cheap. This will save your phone. Hopefully its not too late.
You phone needs to be taken apart and dried out. You probably shorted the battery, it will need to be replaced. If it got really wet, boards start to corrode and phone may not be fixable. Every connection on phone needs to be taken apart and dried, hopefully your phone will work again. Sometimes I get them to work again, and sometimes I don't. Good Luck
easy way to fix that problem...dont buy him a new one...maybe if he pays for it himself he will have a little more respect for it...besides that, the best you can do for the phone is let it dry naturally for about 10 days before trying to reinstall the battery. once an lcd display has been water damaged it is more economical to replace the phone than to replace the display.
You may have caused a short in the device. Basically once your cellphone is exposed to water, the best solution would be to IMMEDIATELY remove the battery, and place the device in a bowl of rice. The rice serves to absorb the moisture, and within a day, should restore your phone :D.
It doesn't hurt to take it apart and dry it by hand though, but by trying to use a non-dry phone you may have to get a new one.
