Washine mashine aggitator

The washining machine aggitator does not seem to spin freely. when you load up the machine and it starts its aggitating cycle it does not seem to aggitate when you have heavy items in the machine such as jeans and towels. when i spin the aggitator manually it spins, but it makes a clicking noise.

Re: washine mashine aggitator

Rob, sounds like you need an agitator repair kit. Not a hard job, under the dispenser cap you have a set of ears, spring and plastic bearing. The kit is cheap, you can find it here back

I have a hot point washin mashine that does not finish a wash and stopes half way through then lights at front of mashine start flashin

Had this with mine. Cleaned the filter (as decribed elsewhere on this site). Also cleaned the component fto which the drain hose attaches - guess this is the pump. Just unclip the drain hose and the hose going into this pump, and check there is nothing obstructing the pump. The clips are a bit of a fiddle, you might want 2 jubilee clips to replace them. Then ran a "maintenance wash" as per manual (ie a hot wash, no clothes, no detergent). Seems OK now

Aggitator won't work and won't spin/ drains ok

Coupling is bad.
There is a coupling between the motor and the transmission. When this part breaks then it will pump the water out but won't spin or aggitate.
