Hi. Inactive feature often means that there's a problem with your connection to the call pilot. Do you have lights on your call pilot? Did you assign a mailbox to the extension you're working on? Did you remember to connect the call pilot to a station port?

Hit OK, hit 4 (or hit DOWN four times and hit OK)
Flip out the keyboard
Afterwards, you can hit 1 to send a new message or 2 to read existing ones.
Hit END to clear any open windows or end any active calls.
Type the number you want to call, then hit Talk.
Alternatively, hit the Contacts soft key (right above the Back and End buttons), locate the contact you wish to call and hit Talk.
Special note: The two "soft keys" (as they're called) above the Loudspeaker and Back buttons are the same as the two silver buttons along the side of the screen. You use the black ones when the phone is "closed", and the silver ones when the keyboard is out.

That device will sometimes allow a clear. This will clear any contained info but should restore function of the device. Turn on the recorder and once you see ERR press and hold stop and erase until the word clear appears. If the word is not up at 15 seconds it will not work, but if clear pops up on the screen just press the REW or FW button to choose yes and then press play to execute. This will clear any contained info but should restore function of the device.
Try pushing the button on the headset 1 time to see what happens. We are using Motorola Razors and it works very well after you push the button once but have your phone open to see what you activate after pushing the button.
If you are using vox (voice activated transmit) go into the menu and make sure you don't have the VOX setting too high.
You should be able to put the headset on... hit the "push to talk" button on the radio and transmit you audio. Turn the other radio on and make sure the radio is "keying" (tx with no auio) then make sure there is audio. If you don't have audio but the radio is transmitting.. you might have the wrong type of plug on your headset for the audio..... there are 2 plugs... 1 for transmit audio....1 for recieve audio. It could be the wrong type of plug for the jack in the radio.
Regardless.. the way the headset works is either you push the "push to talk button" onj the radio OR you use the VOX function... with the vox function you just have to talk into the mic to transmit. This is what your headset is designed for. You will have to go into the menu and set up the radio for VOX.
If you still have problems follow my directions at the top of this page ( check mic jack and stuff)
I think you just have to set the radio up for VOX operation and set the VOX setting.
You should be able to push the push to talk button and talk through the mic on the headset. If you don't get any audio that way there is a problem and you should check the jack and plug on the headset.
