The glass screen seems to have these tiny small dots in it. The digital display appears to be underneath these dots.

hold the left, bottom button (marked ....) for a few seconds....then press the top right button (marked with 1 dot) to change between the hour, minute, date etc. use the bottom right button to advance the flashing number, and when finished setting time and date, use the bottom left button to stop the numbers flashing and return the watch to normal. hope this helps, this is also how to change the date for the other question asker (works on 2 other starck/fossil watches i have and i assume the controls are the same).

SOURCE: what battery does a Fossil Starck PH-1006 watch
Hi. I´ve got a ph-1030 and it works with a `RENATA 350`. I couldn`t d this reference so I bought a similar one.I got the `SR1130W` . This battery works but you have to place an small tape on the back (negative pole), to insolate the battery. You have to do it because this battery is a litle bite smaller than the renata 350. If you need anything else email to [email protected]

The bottom-half of the screen seems to display light coloured, blurry dots (as if moisture got on the screen?). You cannot see the digital display clearly. Does this mean the LCD crystals are faulty on the screen? Will the screen have to be replaced?
