Buttons on front of console don't work

Panasonic PV-4315S, has been sitting in an upstairs room many months since dad got it second-hand off a Craigslist poster.

Well, most of the remote buttons are ok, tho the tracking doesn't seem to work, but the big ish is, NONE of the console buttons work...I didn't think of this until needing to eject the tape I used to find out the tracking didn't work...it came with this monster remote where some of the buttons were under a sliding door that I can't see any way to remove.
Again, remote buttons mostly work, not tracking apparently, but more importantly console buttons DON'T.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Lost the remote, manually need to access Menu button

VCRs since the early '90s have limited function with the machine located controls, and a remote is necessary to get into most setup options, probably including the channel add/delete. Many VCRs do have an auto program mode which searches for active channels, but I'd guess this also is activated via remote. A universal remote which specifically has the capability of performing the advanced functions is probably available. Look here for an exact http://www.electronicadventure.us/panasonic.htm Part number is VSQS1418 according to this site for PV4501.

SOURCE: Panasonic PV-GS150 wont eject

Defective mechanism, a stucked mechanism is present. camcorder are smart it can detects error and shuts down itself for safety. earlier models dominoes the defect if the user is not quick enough to react when something goes wrong with the camera. You need professional service to fix it.

I need a manual for Panasonic vcr PV-V4521

Panasonic has the manual available on the product site for the PV-V4521: http://shop.panasonic.com/support-only/PV-V4521.html . Scroll down and look at the left hand side of the page (below Support and FAQs). The direct link to the manual is: http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/PVV4021.PDF . (The manual covers both the PV-V4021 and PV-V4521.)

I hope this helps.

Pv-l453d no picture from lens to lcd blank screen ?

Your device has the option buttons on which to select recording by observing the process from the user observation scopes. One option only could be observed at the recording session. On the other hand, disabling the option of observing a recording session on the scope lense automatically displays the recording session on the visible lense LCD screen area.

Manipulating the Camcorder is from the option buttons located along the sides of the camera. A switch on the menu area should make that experiece achievable.

Panasonic PV-8400 Remote sensor not working?

This is indeed a faulty IR sensor. If it's just the sensor, swap with your good one to check. From memory they are plug in - a little device behing d the smoked translucent facia (display panel). I have come across this several times with Panasonic VCRs. Check whether the remote works at night time with all fluorescent lights in the room switched off. If so, the IR filter circuitry is faulty. Same solution - replace IR sensor on VCR.
