Question about Canon Sure Shot AF-10 Date 35mm Point and Shoot Camera
My in-laws have asked me if I can repair their Canon AF-7 film camera - the batter cover catch has broken. I have managed to source a replacement cover, but now need to know how to take the old one off and replace it with the new one!
I have undone the five small 'philips' screws around the outside of the camera body but it not opening up!!
SOURCE: Halo around af points
I have the very same happening to my 400D, I took it back to the shop that I bought it in and they said it was no problem and like you it doesn't do anything to my photos, Willie.

The flashing H means hat the camera has detected a hardware fault on starting up. It can also mean that the film has mis-loaded. Try removing the film & then the battery to reset it. Put the battery back & switch on. If it's still doing it then I'm afraid it's got the 'flashing "H" of Doom'. Although this is repairable, it's usually not economically viable.

The battery cover should be on the left side of the body looking at the front of the camera next to the strap holder.
