Question about RCA F27442 27" TV
You may be able to get by with just a new Horizontal output Transistor location Q14401 after repairing the coil L14401 connection. I suspect the repair would not be worthwhile if the high voltage (flyback) transformer is bad as well as that part costs about $50.00 by itself.

Check for shorted base-collector junction on horizontal output transistor designator Q14401. Also coil L14401 going to base of transistor needs to be desoldered, scrape ends, resoldered. If horizontal transistor is shorted, real possible flyback transformer bad.
