I have installed my ink cartridge correctly but it is not reading it. What can i do

Check the catridge number size if is the same with the one that come with your printer if is not the same number then the one you buy is not conpactable with your printer so it can work unless you get the actual number of the one that come with the printer. but if the size is correct then check the fixing again and fixe it properly. or you check the printer software uninstall it then reinstall it back, also, your can check the container the ink store in when the printer finish printing inside the printer in some cases if their is alot of ink setle in that container the printer will not ready so what you do is that there is a fome in it that **** the ink bring it out and clean it very well then put it back.

To resolve the issue:
  1. Make sure you install the correct type of KODAK Ink Cartridge for your printer. Currently we offer two types of ink cartridges (10 Series and 30 Series). Installing the wrong type of ink cartridge may result in this error. You will need to install a new, correct type of KODAK Ink Cartridge.
    NOTE: For more information, see Which ink cartridges to buy for all-in-one printer.
  2. If you are using the correct type of KODAK Ink Cartridge, reinstall the color ink cartridge.
    1. Open the printer access door.
      NOTE: If the ink cartridges don't move to the center, see Printhead and ink cartridges don't move to center with access door open.
    2. Wait until the printhead is idle and silent, then pinch the latch on the color ink cartridge with your thumb and forefinger and lift it out of the printhead.
    3. Install the color ink cartridge back into the printer, making sure to press down on the thumb tab until it clicks into place.
    4. Close the printer access door. For printers with LCDs, follow the instructions on the LCD screen.
      For more information on installing ink cartridges, see the Extended User Guide for your printer. Review Maintaining Your Printer - Replacing ink cartridges.
  3. If the error continues, restart your printer:
    1. Turn off the printer by pressing the power button.
    2. Wait five seconds.
    3. Turn on the printer.
  4. If the error continues, and you have extra, new KODAK Ink Cartridges on-hand, try to install a new ink cartridge (or a set of new ink cartridges).
  5. If the error continues, contact us.

Cartridse error


If you see a message saying that you have an incorrect ink cartridge, a flashing cartridge light meaning a bad color cartridge or you are told to remove the color cartridge, you should follow these steps to correct the problem if you are sure you have installed the correct color ink cartridge.

Instructions

Reinstall the ink cartridge
1. Turn on the printer and open the cover where the ink cartridge is located. Remove the cartridge.
2. Place the ink cartridge back in the carriage. Close the cover. Turn the printer off for a minute.
3. Turn the HP printer on. Use the printer to print a test page. If this does not correct the problem, continue reading.

Wipe down the cartridge contacts
1. Turn on the printer and open the cover where the ink cartridge is located. Remove the cartridge.
2. Remove the cartridge an use a clean, lint-free, dry cloth to gently wipe the contacts.
3. Wipe from the top of the contact to the bottom. Do this for each contact.
4. Place the HP ink cartridge back in the carriage. Turn the printer off for a minute.
5. Turn the HP printer on. Use the printer to print a test page. If this does not correct the problem, continue reading.

Reset the Officejet printer
1. Turn on the HP printer.
2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and wait one minute.
3. Plug the power cord back into the printer. Press the on button and hold until printer turns on.
4. Print a test page to see if this has fixed the problem. If not, you will need to buy a new color ink unit.

Hello.
New cartridges that are not HP brand can sometimes give these errors. If they are HP brand then the issue is with the sensor that reads the cartridges "chip" The ink levels are not read like the fuel in your car, there is a page counter on the cartridge and when it hits 0 then it assumes there is no ink. So the issue seems to be it is not reading the chip correctly. Try removing all the cartridges. turn the printer off for 10 mins and replace the cartridges 1 by 1. This can sometimes correct the issue. If not the pins that read the cartridges chip can be checked for dirt of dry ink that may be interfering with the pins touching the cartridge. these pins are in the Cartridge holder for each colour, inside the printer. use a torch to see them properly.

Bland and color cartridges have been refilled but


Ink level counter (program) didn't read actually ink at ink tank. Brand new cartridge ink level counter 100% (full), and ink 100% (about 10 ml). After may printing, ink will dry out, and ink level counter reach zero (ink out). Printer will not allow print anymore, even have refilled, because ink level read "ink out". For canon type, you just to release ink level counter, and counter just stop, but printer will allow to print. Press stop/reset button for about 30 second.

Rx680 epson ink cartridge error


I was changing my cyan cartridge and got this error. I thought for sure it was that cartridge. Tried a few things including pulling them all out and putting them all back in. Didn't work.

Finally, I found a place in the software that showed the info on all the cartridges. Turned out the light cyan was not reading. Took it out and rubbed the contacts with a pencil eraser. Voila! Problem solved.

After installing new cyan cartridge, display reads No Cartridge


look at the ink cartridge and and first see if the ink covers the top of the cartridge. there is a little part of the ink cartridge the best way to explain it, is there is a tab,. that tab goes into a sensor. if the tab has ink on it, then you mostly like have a problem with the sensor itself. but if there is no ink, the printer is correct. i have had several people bring printers with those type of problems, and when they bring the cartridge i look at it, and they are practically empty.

go to page 60 and follow the instructions for replacing the ink cartridge, remember to have the printer on when you do.

Then go to page 62 and allign the print head automaticly following the instructions it gives.

This will re-callibrate the ink level on the printer and should read correctly for you.

I want to install ink cartidges and do not know where to begin. I have misplaced my instructions


To install your Brother machine#s ink cartridges, follow the steps
listed below:

1. Make sure that the Brother machine#s power is turned on.

2. Open the ink cartridge cover. This cover is located on right-hand
side of the Brother machine#s front panel.


3. Pull down the four lock release levers. There is one lock release
lever for each ink cartridge.

4. Take the ink cartridge out of its protective bag.

5. Carefully remove the yellow protective cap from the ink cartridge.

- DO NOT touch the side of the ink cartridge covered by the yellow
protective cap.

- Take care when removing this cover to prevent spilling ink and
staining your hands and clothing.

- If the cartridge cover comes off when you open the bag, the cartridge
will NOT be damaged.

6. Install each ink cartridge in the direction of the arrow on the
label.

- Please note that each color has its own specific position. These
positions are indicated by the colors of the four lock release levers.
Do not install an ink cartridge in the incorrect position, as this can
cause print quality problems.

7. Lift each lock release lever and push it until it clicks into the
closed position.

8. Close the ink cartridge cover.

- If the LCD shows #Install Black,# #Install Cyan,# #Install Magenta,#
or #Install Yellow# after you install the ink cartridges, please verify
that you have installed the cartridges correctly.

NOTE:

* DO NOT remove the ink cartridges from the Brother machine unless you intend to replace them. If you do, it may reduce the quantity of ink left in the cartridge, which may cause the Brother machine to miscalculate the amount of remaining ink.

* DO NOT shake the ink cartridges. If ink stains your skin or clothing, wash the affected area with soap or detergent immediately.

* DO NOT repeatedly insert and remove the ink cartridges. Doing so may cause ink to seep out of your cartridges.

* If you mix the colors by installing an ink cartridge in the wrong
position, clean the print head several times after correcting the
cartridge installation.

* Once you open an ink cartridge, install it in the Brother machine and use it up within six months of installation.

* Use unopened ink cartridges by the expiration date listed on the
cartridge package.

* DO NOT dismantle or tamper with the ink cartridge. Doing so can cause ink to leak out of the cartridge

E3 – Paper jam error.
How to correct, fix: Remove the jammed paper. If paper jams frequently occur, check the following:
1. Confirm there is no foreign material inside the machine.
2. Confirm only recommended paper is installed.
3. Confirm paper is installed properly.
4. Confirm the maximum number of sheets in the auto sheet feeder is within the paper limit mark.

E4 – Empty ink tank.
How to correct, fix: An ink cartridge is empty. To cancel printing, press the <Stop/Reset> button. To continue printing, press <Black> or <Color> button. After printing completes, replace the empty ink cartridge. Printing with an empty ink cartridge may cause the machine to malfunction.

E5 – The ink cartridge(s) is not installed. The ink cartridge(s) cannot be recognized.
How to correct, fix: Make sure to install both ink cartridges even when you set the machine to use only one ink cartridge in printing. If one of the ink cartridges is missing, this error can occur.

E7 – The ink cartridge is not installed in the appropriate position.
How to correct, fix: The ink cartridge is not installed in the proper position. Install each ink cartridge in the proper position.

E8 – The ink wasteabsorber is almost full.
How to correct, fix: The waste ink absorber is getting full. Press the <Black> or <Color> button to clear the error and continue printing. Printing can continue until the waste ink absorber becomes full. If the waste ink absorber becomes full, the machine will require service. The waste ink absorber is a part inside the machine, which absorbs ink used in the cleaning operations.

E9 – A specified period of time has elapsed without receiving a response from the digital camera. A print mode compliant with PictBridge is not selected. A specified period of time has elapsed without receiving a response from the digital camera.
How to correct, fix: The machine cannot communicate with the connected camera. Disconnect the cable between the machine and the camera to clear the error. Check the following items, then try printing again.
1. Confirm that the camera you are using supports PictBridge or Canon Bubble Jet Direct. If the camera does not support either one, the machine cannot print directly from the camera.
2. Set the camera in PictBridge print mode before it is connected to the machine. This is required before printing for some cameras that support PictBridge. Please refer to the camera instructions for more information about procedures required before and after connection to the machine.
3. There may have been no response from the camera for the prescribed time. Re-connect the cable between the camera and the machine.

E14 – Ink cartridge cannot be recognized.
How to correct, fix: Unsupported ink cartridge may be installed.

E15 – Install only recommended ink cartridges.
How to correct, fix: Install only recommended ink cartridges.

E16 – The ink level cannot be correctly recognized or detected.
How to correct, fix: A used ink cartridge may be installed, or the ink cartridge is empty. Press the <Black> or <Color> button, to clear the error and continue printing without replacing the ink cartridge. However, the remaining ink amount cannot be detected properly, so the function to detect the remaining ink amount does not operate.

E19 – Scanning failed error.
How to correct, fix: Scanning a document failed. Check if the document is placed in the correct orientation position and try the operation again.
