Question about Graphics Cards
I installed a GeForce6200 256Mb(64bit) AGP on a compaq Evo D500.
I successfully install the card and drivers, then i unlocked the card using (Rivatuner)to get the all the pipelines working(it had a 6600 n43 GPU tweaked down).
I got that done ok, but started seeing artifacts on screen when running some computer games. :(
I tried to reset it back, but had forgotten which pipelines were originally disabled (duh2...)
i changed a setting then lost all screen output (!...) and coudn't get the card to work properly...
I reflashed the 6200 whilst fitted to another pc on dual screen.
After rebuilding the (D500), i chucked the 6200 back in and have got it working, but the screen is offset on the verticle, ie the bottom of the screen is in the middle and the top is under it.
the problem is on the bios setup on the card.
(imagine the old tv sets where you could adjust the v-sync)
what setting do i need to adjust(and to what value)?
You need to flash to the origional bios. Obviously this is hardware related. For graphics cards v sync is software controlled, you have created a very hard to fix hardware problem.
Graphics cards are cheap now. YOu should be able to find a better replacement for even 30 =50 bucks on newegg.com
