I jsut reseated the ram, reseated the hard drive, and removed the wifi card. Still the same. The battery will not charge, the computer will not start on battery only nor starrt on power adapter either, so it is more than just a battery i agree. The new battery will not arrive for 2 to 3 days anyway.

    Thanks for the help, Thanks.

This may be an over heating issue. Blow out the air vents or open case and clean inside. Make sure cooling fan is spinning, if unit is warm.

You just Replaced 2 things that have nothing to do with your Issue...

You Need to check your RAM and Hard Drive....Reseat Your Ram and test it
Also Make Sure Your Hard Drive is correctly in its slot..

That Make / Model is known for having a Faulty Nvidia CHip... Which causes that rebooting... Not Sure If THats Whats Happening with yours.. But Look Into It... They Are Repairing These Boards due to Recalled Chips...

Try Removing Your WiFi Card and Your Hard Drive....Remove Your Battery as well.... Plug In AC Adapter and try to power on the laptop.....

My computer will not boot up

The AA1 has a built-in BIOS recovery routine, which makes it possible to flash the BIOS even if it doesn't POST and the system doesn't boot anymore. It's meant for emergencies and is also known as crisis disk mode. Use at your own risk.

First format an USB flash drive with FAT.

Download the latest BIOS, and extract all files from the zip file. Put both FLASHIT.EXE and the BIOS file with FD suffix in the root directory of the drive. The files must not be in a folder. Rename the BIOS file toZG5IA32.FD, that's important.

Turn the AA1 off, with the USB drive still connected, and make sure both battery and AC adapter are also connected.

Press Fn+Esc, keep it pressed and press the power button. Release Fn+Esc after a few seconds. The power button starts blinking at this point. Press the power button once. The AA1 will now initiate flashing the BIOS, do not interrupt it under any circumstances. After a while the power button stops blinking, and the AA1 reboots shortly after. Wait patiently.

The BIOS has been re-flashed and all settings are reset to default.

If the AA1 doesn't reboot by itself, but the power button still blinks, wait a few minutes before turning it off, and try again.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

1 Disconnect the battery and the charger
2 Let it sit for 1-2 minutes.
3 Press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds.
4 Connect the charger (don't connect the battery yet) and try to start by pressing the power button.

Let me know if everything remain same.

i would say try replacing the battery or the ac adapter. I had the same exact problem on my toshiba a105-s171. my battery was dead because the ac adapter failed to charge. Replaced the adapter and it works now.

When adapter plugged in computer starts then goes

There could e a problem with the battery. A fast check to determine whether you have a problem with the power adapter, power cord or the laptop's battery is to turn off the laptop, remove the battery, connect the power adapter, turn on the laptop & see if it works.
If the laptop works directly from the power adapter with the battery removed, then the power adapter is good. In this case we can suspect that the battery is defective & needs to be replaced.

Try also to reseat the main components of the notebook: the battery, the AC adapter, the memory modules, & the hard drive.
After that try switching it on & see if the problem was fixed.
