Question about Computers & Internet
Try to find the replacement LCD in an auction using the exact model number of your
laptop. Laptop screens start at $100. To make it worth it though you
may need to self-install. There are repair guides online, it's not that
hard on Dell at HP laptops. Just remove the front bezel, release LCD
plug and backlight plug, remove the defective screen and replace it
with the new one, it's almost plug and play. I work for a laptop repair company (Laptop Repair NYC) and we do this replacement frequently in less than an hour.

Check out the laptop deals here www.tigerdirect.com after you price getting the laptop repaired. will give you a some good ideas. Unfortunately a laptop is like a motorhome, about the time you pay for it and walk out of the store , it deprechiates 40%.
If you can buy a faster laptop for a 1/3 more than the repair cost, i would upgrade.

Need to take this in and have it serviced, depending on the laptops' worth, ide consider another laptop OR plug an external monitor into it which makes it a bit hard to transport unless it's a small led monitor.
