Why won't my samsung blu ray player connect to my TV?

Please provide the model number. To reset your player, hold the stop button while the unit is on for 6 seconds, it will reset the player. Then wait till the menu shows on the screen. If still nothing after all that troubleshooting, then your main board is faulty/damaged.

It will not play. A disc is apparently stuck in it. It powers on and says reading disc, but then..nothing..blank screen, and the timer is stopped on the screen.

Try looking on the face of the disc tray and in the vicinity around it for a small hole. If you locate this hole use a paperclip and unbend the first two bends of it so it is straight with a little handle. stick the paper clip in the hole, making sure you're going straight in. You should feel it hit something. Now give it a good hard push on the "handle" end and the tray should open.

A DVD got stuck in my DVD-E810-Pianocraft player of Yamaha. As I tried to get it out, it dropped inside the box, and now stays there. Did anyone else have the same problem? Is it safe take off the screws...

Hello Dmitry,
Lift the player out of the box as careful as possible and set it on a flat surface near your television so you can plug it in and test it after you have removed the disc. Go ahead and remove the screws and carefully remove the cover and take the disc out. In some cases you may have to apply a steady gentle pressure on the dvd tray to gently push it out if you can not get the disc out easily.

Once you have the dvd out of the machine you are going to want to plug it up to the tv and into a power source and systematically test the system components to make sure they are in working order.
Start with the power button to see if it is working and watch the screen to see if the video signal is being transferred to the tv (usually when you plug a dvd up and turn it on, it will say something about dvd on the screen).

Next push the dvd open and close button and make sure the tray is working properly. You will be able to see the tray slide in and out with the cover off. Make sure the little gears are not broken, belts are on, etc. If any part is not functioning properly or hanging up, stop and unplug it because you will most likely need it repaired and other components may be damaged. If everything works properly keep going.

Next put the dvd in and see if the disc spins and the laser is hitting the bottom side of the disc. Do not look directly into the laser. If the disc is spinning and the laser is working then the movie should be showing on the tv screen.

If everything is working, check the other buttons start, stop, pause, etc and check to see if the remote is functioning if it came with one.

If everything is working properly, replace the cover and continue to set your dvd player up where you want it. If something is broken, you will have to make a choice have it repaired or buy a new one. Depending on the price you paid for the device it may be cheaper to buy a new player.

I hope this helps you solve the issue. You can check my profile, go to my tips, where you can find some helpful tutorials and tips.

If you would not mind, rate my help. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You

DVD Player won't open

Try this. This works on some brands and models.

Power up the unit. Using the remote, press and hold the 'STOP' button for about 5 seconds. Release and press the 'OK' button.

Can't read disc

Possibly a bad, or more likely, a damaged disc.

It's not uncommon, especially with often abused rental copies.

Tell Blockbuster - they should give you a credit on the rental.
