put a cd in and ,as it is playing, very slowly pull the jackplug out of the soundcard socket, does it suddenly play loudly at some point? If so you probably have the wrong size jackplug and might need an adaptor. Check that the cable is in the correct hole. Check that the volume on the speakers is turned up as well as the one on your PC/laptop.
Check that the master volume in your mixer is turned up
The first thing to check is for proper power. Try connecting your charger with the battery removed and powering up the computer. If you are not successful with this, it may be that the charger is defective and not charging your battery. Advise that you purchase/borrow a supported laptop charger. A local HP repair center should have a compatible charger that you could use to test. If it is not the charger (the laptop should work without a battery), then you have motherboard problems. Memory or other issues would cause a power on but errors. No power up at all is going to require some sort of board replacement. At that point, your choice is warranty repair service or, if out of warranty, best bet will be replacement of laptop.
The DC jack in the laptop may need to be replaced, go to www.ebay.com Type: make and model of laptop, refine search to DC jack or scroll through the list. The laptop must be completely dismantled down to the motherboard and removed from bottom base, soldering equipment a must with the skills to use it, suggest a computer repair shop.
its one of three thing charger battery or d/c jack (the bit you plug the charger into on the laptop) which needs replacing cheapest option try another charger they have a pin in the end of the charger witch connects to the DC adapter after time this pin can be moved if the two do not connect the laptop will not recognise the charger as genuine and will refuse to charge the battery
Either your charger is not providing the perfect voltage or there is a short circuit in your motherboard. Try replacing the charger first. If still the problem persists then you should check the connector. try resoldering it cause loose connection in it also sometimes causes this problem.or you need to change the motherboard finally.
Probably broken the nipple from the cable which goes into the laptop, and starts it charging. pull it out and inspect the nipple on the charger see for any breakages, if it has snapped etc then it will require a new charger.
If it hasn't then it will be a broken inside the laptop, best thing you can do is strip the laptop and have a look or take it to your local computer repair shop, and it will be sorted...its a common problem with laptops the charging damage.
the issue might be with the charger which is not supplying power or is with the charger port in the laptop itself,it might be loose or it might be completely broken...try with different working charger which is working for another same kind o laptop if you can if it turns on the laptop replace or repair the charger..if the other charger also don't work it should be the port take it to the hp store to get it repaired... hope it works
1. get it repaired, warrant if possible 2. Get a new one 3. Get an external battery charger and charge battery separate from phone. Another battery and charger will set you back about 10 dollars on ebay.
Seeing how the AC Power Cord Plug Snapped, It probably loosened the pins on the DC Power Jack (located on the motherboard...)....and you are shorting out from loose contacts on the DC Jack...
The DC PowerJack Will either have to be desoldered and cleaned then Resoldered.....
Or Purchase a New DC Jack and Replace With Old By Desoldering and soldering New in Place....
And of course.. get yourself a new charging cord, or go to radio shack and buy a new plug tip and reattach it to your Power Charger Cord End....
