My printer is making a weird noise and the power light just blinks

Turn off the Printer
open the Front access Door, Check if there is bits of paper or dirt on the ROD that moves the Cartrige/carriage.
Move the Carriage freely 5-6 times from left to right ( it should move smoothly )
Remove the Cartridges, Clean the contacts on the Cartridge ( golden Contacts)
Open the Rear Access door, Clean the Rollers with lint free cloth.
Close the Rear access door and front door
Power on the Printer. If the grinding noise continues, Unplug the power cable from back of printer ( while printer is on ) and while holding the # and 6 button, connect it back.
It should go thru alignment process and the grinding noise should be gone. If it doesnt, probably.. its time for new printer of HP again.

Lexmark x2500 the printer carriage wont stop it knocks on both

Hello. It seems that you have a mechanical/hardware problem in the printer itself. Remove the cartridges from the printer. Unplug the printer from the power source. Plug it back to the power source after 10-15 seconds. When the printer's ready, insert the cartridges and make sure the cartridges are properly seated and locked in the carrier. Make sure there's no foreign objects blocking the carrier. Close the cover. Let it print the alignment page all the way through without cancelling it. If it still makes the banging/knocking sound, I would advise you to call Lexmark. That is a sound of a defective printer already. Good luck!

Carriase jam

How old is this device?

Turn the power off, then back on. Do you get the error straight away?
If so, open the cover and check for obstruction near the printheads.

If no obvious blockage, the power off / on again and when the carriage starts to move, pull out the power lead to stop the carriage moving.
Now attempt to gently move the carriage by hand.

If it moves with a fair bit of resistance, then try a small amount of lubricant on the printhead carriage rail.

Close the covers and power up the device.... Good luck.

How do you replace ink in EPSON TX110? Paul

The procedure is shown on the panel you can see if you open the cartridge compartment of your TX110. However, it can take some effort to decipher the icons. It is known to work if the ink low light is on, untested otherwise.

  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. Press and hold the STOP button until the cartridge tray moves out of its bay. It will stop at the ink low notch pointing to the first cartridge out.
  3. Press STOP again. The cartridge tray will move to show you the next cartridge low on ink.
  4. Repeat until you know all cartridges out. After the last cartridge pointed to, the tray will move again and stop in the area where all cartridges can be accessed by hand.
That's it folks!

Paper wont feed then says paper jam

Got rid of my problem!

In an act of despair I started to poke around the inside of the printer with a wooden match. Especially I found a small black lever mentioned on a Dell web site (general paper jam help page) that could be pressed a little. It is placed just a little bit right of center behind the carriage and just above the roll that feeds the paper beneath the printer heads. I'm not sure if this was what finally did it, but now the paper jam problem has gone away.

Another thing I noticed is that my carriage is now moving to center when I open the top. When the paper jam error was present it always moved to the far left (so I could remove any jammed paper, I suspect)
