I have been given a New World 90TC electric double oven and the figures around the temperature button have worn off. Is there a diagram that I can get so that it gives me some idea as to what the temperature of the oven is?

the first knob has tree positions in the middle is off to the left the top (grill) heats to the right top (grill) and bottom heat, the second knob indicates the temperature in the following way ..50....100....150....200....250..good luck
Don't know how long ago you posted this but I have the same issues! The left hand dial deals with function and the fan oven setting is 2nd one. The grill setting is the furthest one round...I think. The right hand dial is temperature. 180 is at about half past. 200 is at about 40 mins past if you get my drift. All this I have kind of figured out through trial and error... Now I've just got to figure out how to change the light bulbs....
On the 720EF the numbers are recessed behind a small glass panel, so I think you are not talking about the same unit. If all else fails, I suggest you buy an oven thermometer from say Lakeland - they are about 4 to 5 pounds and are good. Run the oven, making a note where the marker is and see what temperature the thermometer gives.
Failing that, run the oven with the thermometer in all the time and experiment to see what the control; knob is pointing at for any given temperature.
Steve, I have a PDF of the manual. send me an email to email@example.com and I will reply with document attached.. We recentley moved house and were in the same situation. We contacted Newworld who sent us a paper copy which I have scanned to PDF.
From the New World Web site:
"How do I set my timer/programmer into manual when it is set in auto?
(5 & 6 button versions)
On your timer there are two buttons, which read "cook time" and "ready time". If your timer is in automatic, you can return it to manual by pressing these two buttons simultaneously. REMEMBER - if your oven is in automatic it will not work until the time you set it to come on or if you return it to manual."

The fan is controlled by a temperature sensitive switch. Apparently the switch is not shutting off when it should. It will have to be replaced. If you are not comfortable working around appliances, you will need to call a service technician. There is usually a set of maintenance instructions in the top of the oven. Check it out for any suggestions. Temperature switches can be purchased on line.
