Look for a product key printed on a yellow card that came with the computer (if bought new) that will give you a 90 day trial. After that, you have to purchase office, or try an alternative (free) such as openoffice.

Unfortunately you have been scammed.....what PC brand is it? I too purchased a Gateway that came with Vista Premium and it had Micro Office home and student 07 on it. I had used this for almost a year for school. My system messed up and it never gave back the Office 07. I ended up having to repurchase it. Even though I told the techs my computer came with it, they said it didn't, but it did, which is why I purchased the PC. In the end, if you need it bad enough, you'll repurchase what initially was on the system to begin with. My condolences =(

Since you apparently don't have MS Office installed yet, take a look at Open Office which is more highly integrated than MS Office, appears to have better support and costs . . . nothing.
Open Office

Hello My name is Lisa Maloney now i brought a new computer and i had a 90 day trial on microsoft office and i only got a week on there i was wondering if you could help me get the whole trial

Hi Ms. Lisa, I don't think you would be able to get the trial back. But I can certainly provide you with a free alternative to Microsoft Office, that is Open Office. This software supports Microsoft Office Documents too, so this can be very effective.
Download and Install it to enjoy the free alternative to MS Office.
Following is the link to download the software:
I hope this helps.

My laptop is asking me to activate windows vista. i put in the code that is on the back of the laptop but it did not work. i bought the laptop just a few weeks ago brand new with everything put on at best...

Go back to best buy, somebody may have already used keygen and used your license key which is why its no good. Microsoft won't help you but simply tell you to go back to where you bought your laptop. I know, that sucks.
