Need instruction manual for Officine Galileo refractometer

Has no model #, but does have No 123057, made in Italy, and Opplem New York on side. Looks old maybe from 30's or 40's, has thermometer, eye pieces, tubing. Don't know if that division of Galileo is still in business, have looked online, but it looks like they are into space telescopes now. Thanks in advance for any help.

i obtained a refractometer 'officine galileo' from an auction some years ago.
the instrument came from a sugar factory and was used to determine the concentration of sugar in the sugar beets delivered by the farmers, so they told me.
the man who worked in the lab with the instrument can't tell me because he died before the factory went bankrupt.
i have some photos of the instrument but can't send them because they are too large- if you wish to see them, i can mail them to you.

How did galiloe die?id galileo die and what age was he when he did die and were did he live?

He died of natural causes, probably a heart attack, on 8 January 1642, aged 77, near Florence Italy.

I have been to his tomb in the Basilica di Santa Croce there, and a very moving moment it was to be near this great man. The same goes for the tomb of Michelangelo just nearby.

Not quite all of Galileo is there though, since the middle finger from Galileo's right hand is currently on exhibition at the Museo Galileo in Florence.

He was blind since 1638, a sad thing for such a great scientist, the father of modern physics. He was threatened with Inquisition and placed under house arrest by Pope Urban VIII in the last years of his life, for the heresy of asserting that the Earth revolved around the Sun, and not until 1992 did Pope John Paul II acknowledge that the Church had been wrong.
