Question about Zenith SY2549S TV

Wont power on

Hello my problem is this. The TV has a DVD VCR combo in it. When i power it on the DVD and VCR player both power on and seem to be working but There is no picture or sound. It does not sound like the TV is even turning on I checked the fuse seems fine tried another just to be safe still nothing. Took it apart there doesn't seem to be any burnt spots or anything on the board. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions plz let me know. Thank you !!

Hi there!
The drive belt that controls the tray probably snapped. Not sure about the mech on your set, but you can try and see wether you can lift the front cover of the tray slightly. Check to see if you can see a gear inside, using something thin you can try to manually turn that gear from right to left or the other way until the tray opens just enough for you to pull it open. If this is not possible, please refer to a repair technician. Please unplug mains from the wall before you check. Good Luck, Regards, JUS004

I have a Zenith remote. The only # on it is CL015. I know this is not the right # but it is the only one there is. It looks most like aBZEN280. It does not have a search button on it. I have lost the instructions on how to program it and can't remember. I thought you pushed the setup button until the LED stayed one then pushed the button of the appliance you wanted to program then the # of the appliance then the on/off button to make sure you got it right. That is not it. I have tried..........help me!!!Please!!!!!!

I have the Zenith xbv613 model DVD/VCR player and also need to change the clock set up. For the xbv613 I had to switch the player to VCR. The menu button did not bring the clock set up in DVD. When I switched to VCR and hit the menu button the clock set up showed, where I used to right arrow button to change the time. Hope this helps.

Connect to auxillary dvd player


to connect a DVD player to your TV/VCR combo is :

DVD A/V output to TV/VCR Combo A/V INPUT In the back of TV , if TV doesnt have an auxilliary A/V input , then

the other solution is to get a RF Converter box that connects to where you connect the CABLE service .
