Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for:
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

My display don't have light

Disconnect the unit from the computer.
Disconnect from power source.
Let the unit sit for a few minutes.
Plug the unit into the power outlet.
Push in the power button and if you get a message on the screen that says " No Signal " The monitor works fine.
Next, plug the unit into the computer port.
If you do not see a image or a signal, you may need to reseat the vedio card inside the computer.

Dont know how to tune for the life of me

After plugging it into the tuner ... Play one string and watch the arrow ... If its not centre then gently turn the tuning key for that string on the guitar until it says its in tune ... do this for each string.

When your holding the guitar looking down at the strings ... the biggest one is E ... then from there its A,D,G,B,E.

I need to tune a tv does not tell me enough to help you.

Do you mean tune in a channel?

The second person does not have the same problem at all, considering one is a TV and the other a monitor.

For the second person, I have no idea what you mean by "on board cpu's battery"

If the monitor says no sync, it usually means there is no video coming out of the computer. This is most likely a fault with the computer, not the monitor.

Test it by bringing it over to a friends and testing it on his computer.
