Question about Panasonic SDR-H40 HDD Camcorder
I bought this camera knowing the software is a little wierd. I downloaded it no problem took some video then went to try to get it on the program and nothing.. no video files come up and when i try to go to the pc hard drive and hit set target file go to the hdd (g) it tells me unable to set folder and this code comes up.. 1151-w-1
someone help please!!!
Same problem as everyone that probably has one of these cameras and not the exact computer the software was designed to run on. I got NERO DVD burn software and am now able to see the camera hard drive and recognize my videos. I have Windows XP but as long as you get the right NERO software your troubles will probably be forgotten. After learning of doing it like this I'm really glad the Panasonic software didn't work because I'm sure I have a much better handle on how I want my videos burned to DVD.

On the left side of the video suite, where you see. PC hard drive, DVD and last Panasonic video E: or any peripheral drive working. click the lowermost character. In my computer I clicked the E: and it stated dont perform any other operation. The red light in your cam lights up and the copy to pc will pop up clearly

I have the same camera and software. What worked for me is to open the VideoCam Suite software. Plug in the camera, turn on the camera to the video playback option, when the screen on the camera asks what you want to do select PC_Connect via the little joystick on the camera. It should now be connected, the menu column on the left of the VideoCam Suite window should have the camera as a drive at the bottom of the list. Select the camera in that menu. At the very bottom the scenes will be displayed horizontally across the bottom. Over that row of scene thumbnails to the left is a button that I beleive says "copy to PC" or something along those lines. Click and confirm thats what you want to do. You will have to wait while the video is being copied to your pc hard drive. Worked for me, good luck. Now I'm trying to seperate the not so family friendly scenes from the family friendly ones!!
