I have an LG Viewty KU990. I want to set up e mail on this but when I choose the email there is no option for settings on the next menu. Am I looking in the wrong place or is there a fault with the software???
Hello, did anyone actually managed to set up emails on viewty?
I've tried GMAIl account as well as a number of other webmails with POP3, but no luck.
if anyone had got it working, would really appriciate if you can tell me how!
(I managed to download gmail's app for email.
it works, but won't tell me when I got a new email,
so only good if I know I've got one)

2 Create new or edit existing data connection
3 Select data bearer
4 Select authentication
5 Enter username
6 Enter password

The APN name must be in lower case letters.

The LG KU990 Viewty has a broadband-speed 3G/HSDPA connection which means that downloading emails on a regular basis becomes a viable option.
However it pays to check with your mobile operator's service plan to ensure that the cost of checking and downloading emails in this way does not ring up prohibitively expensive data charges. This is particularly important when you travel overseas - in such situations you should make sure that the email application is not set to check for email automatically.
This guide assumes that you have set up your LG KU990 Viewty to connect to the Internet. If you have not, check out this Internet set-up guide first.
Note: in the Email menu (Step 4) you can click onRetrieve interval and select whether you want to check and download your email at regular intervals. If you want to do this manually make sure the Offoption is selected.
