I have an LG Viewty KU990. I want to set up e mail on this but when I choose the email there is no option for settings on the next menu. Am I looking in the wrong place or is there a fault with the software???
Hello, did anyone actually managed to set up emails on viewty? I've tried GMAIl account as well as a number of other webmails with POP3, but no luck. if anyone had got it working, would really appriciate if you can tell me how!
(I managed to download gmail's app for email. it works, but won't tell me when I got a new email, so only good if I know I've got one)
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. goodluck!

How to set up a new email account on the LG KS660 Viewty's built-in email client
The LG KU990 Viewty has a broadband-speed 3G/HSDPA connection which means that downloading emails on a regular basis becomes a viable option.
However it pays to check with your mobile operator's service plan to ensure that the cost of checking and downloading emails in this way does not ring up prohibitively expensive data charges. This is particularly important when you travel overseas - in such situations you should make sure that the email application is not set to check for email automatically.
This guide assumes that you have set up your LG KU990 Viewty to connect to the Internet. If you have not, check out this Internet set-up guide first.
In the main menu touch the Messaging shortcut - the one with the envelope as an icon - at the bottom of the screen
In the Messaging menu scroll down and click on Settings at the bottom of the list
In the Settings menu click on Email
In the Email menu click on Email accounts
In the Email accounts menu click on the icon at the bottom left of the screen and select Add new
You will need to enter all your email account information - name, email address, email servers, logon details etc. - into the online form. Remember to select the correct Access point (eg 3 Internet, Orange Internet) to ensure the email client can connect to the Internet when it needs to. Click on Save when you have filled in all the fields
Your new account should be listed in the Email accounts menu. Click on the Activate button to get started...
Note: in the Email menu (Step 4) you can click onRetrieve interval and select whether you want to check and download your email at regular intervals. If you want to do this manually make sure the Offoption is selected.

it's under sms.
create new message > message > "options" icon (bottomest left)
> writing Language > (choose your language). mine has english, malay, indonesian, thai, korean & simple/trad chinese.
(Sorry, no japanese. maybe northeast asian market has.)
you can then set input preference, either under "options" icon > input method, or click on the top right rectangular box in the texting
When you touch the envelope (messaging) on the welcome screen you come to a Messaging screen. The third icon down is email. Ignore this and scroll down that page to settings and you can set up email there.
