Check the scanning lamp, when copying see if the scanning is not working,,it should be turn on when copying, if yes, then replace the scanning lamp, or drum unit, drum unit have certain life span or copying yield about 100 to 300 thousand copies produces. Check your counter reader in your machine. If yes, then replace drum unit, hope it help.....
Hello, first the paper can be dirty in a lot of ways...
If you have dark "background"or small black dots, the problem is in developer and it need's to be replaced, or cleaning blade or drum. If you have streaks on copy, the problem can be in drum and cleaning blade or fixing roller. If the copy is too light, the problem can be in dirty optics or bad transfer corona.
There can be a lot of things... better call service for preventive maintenace, they will change all that is needed according the number of copies that machine has.
Your black drum counter has reached 50,000 copies. The drum has reached the end of its' rated life. You should print Sim 22-6 and see which other internal supplies need to be changed out. Drums=50K, Transfer belt and fuser=100K; paper and doc feeder tires=100K to 150K.
