Reformatted my emachine t6216 and now my adapter is gone to connect me to the internet? Please help

Power off the computer, remove the power cable, and remove the Ram sticks from your computer, then power the PC back on
if it beeps, that is a good sign, since it is detecting that their is no ram present (which the PC needs to load Windows)
if it doesnt beep, try removing all of your PCI devices and try again
if it isnt putting out video, however, and you have tried different combinations with the Ram, try another power supply, otherwise it may be a bad motherboard

signs of a bad motherboard include high fan speed (and not slowing down), the LED on the front is either off or brighter than normal, instead of flickering, and no video

Go in device manager and find the network card drivers rolback the drivers then restart PC if that is not wor rinstal the drivers

update your driver software for the cd/dvd drive that you have just go to the emachine support website lookup your computer and download the drivers for the drives if that doesnt work it might be a loose connection in the case open the case and make sure all the connections in the case are connected tight and right to the cd/dvd drive

SOURCE: the cd drive in my emachines t6216 doesnt work

first open the case and check if the power connector ,and other cables are still connected to the drive. if they are there disconnect the power cable ( while the computer is running and Plug and Play should notice it). then run add new hardware app to see if the system did recognize it, then check the device manager if its there. reinstall the drivers for the burner drive and run program ,and see if it runs ok, if not the drive is bad and will need to be replaced.
