Question about Sanyo DS27930 27" TV

1 Answer

DS27930 Screen Goes Black

Screen periodically goes black, audio still works. A sharp tap on the outer case restores picture, but problem repeats 20-30 minutes later. Took it to a shop last week and they replaced the vertical card and a couple of capacitors. Got it home, still has same problem. Before I take it back to the shop, can you offer suggestion as to what is wrong? -Randy B.

Re: DS27930 Screen Goes Black

There is no vertical card inside this set. Its the simple unexpensive vertical output iC. you most likly have a cold solder connectiion, on or about the flyback transformer, or video circuit in the TV set. Good Luck Please do not forget to rate this thread.

You have answered your own question, someone needs to open it and find a loose plug or broken solder connection--if it reacts to being tapped on that is the issue- a physical problem inside.
