My acer z290g is supose to have wifi but i cant conect or fnd it in network sharing

Are you sure ? check your order doc's, because the specifications of your PC from Acer indicate that it is an "Optional" piece of equipment. Here is the page.

If you *DO* have one, it should be listed in the Device Manager under Network adapters. If it is listed with an X on it, then the driver needs to be re-installed.

You can either :
1. Right-click and remove/uninstall it, then restart the PC
2. Download the driver (there may be an updated one,) and install it.

Dell dimension will not recognize a new hard drive or boot from windows disk. all conection seem OK

Hi tomcartp...

Go to Device Manager
To get to Device Manager you will:
Right click on My Computer>Properties>click the Hardware Tab>Device Manager.
After you are in Device Manager look for your MP3 player or Unit.
Here you should see no "Yellow" exclamation points.
If you do they they are telling you that you have a device conflict.
If you currnetly have your unit plugged in, you may notice the "unknown device" which would be your Player or Unit.
If you unit has an exclamation point by it, then you will need to click on it and delete it.
After you remove all devices with conflicts then click on refresh and search again for your MP3 player/Device.
The computer should install your device this time and solve your problem with connection of the MP3 player/Device.
Please take time to rate me thumbs up.

The sound stops on my lap top

It sounds like the drivers were uninstalled. If you uninstall the devices in device manager that are in alarm XP will try to reinstall them when you reboot, sometimes it will just reinstall them on it's own, but you will probably need to have the drivers handy.

Cd rw is not there

if u r saying that it is not available in my computer window.

then look for it in the device manager or the bios if u find them there then it is an issue with the os. which may be fixed.

if u do not c them there then it is a hrdware issue,it could be conections or the drv itself malfunctioning.

to get to device manager
->right click my computer.
->click manage
-> from the left column click device manager.

to get to bios,
turn on the comp & observe the screen for instructions to enter setup.
it would show up in the corner of the screen.
