Hi,
If you want to remove Windows Media Player, you have to go to control panel and then click on add/remove windows components. Search it from there and untick it. That should uninstall windows media player from your computer.

We cant plays our DVD on PDVD.Doesnt works our PDVD.It shows an error code while we trying to play a dvd by using PDVD.Code is 80040216

Read the thread from forum.cyberlink.com - Error 80040216 Power DVD!

There are many free DVD software you can use, why use Cyberlink 'buggy' software?

If you are on a Windows OS platform,
Here are some free Players eg. VLC Player, MPStar Player or Windows Media Player 11.
Download the codec package and install either "K-Lite Codec Pack or K-Lite Mega Codec Pack" from http://www.free-codecs.com/index.htm. With these you should be able to play most of the Audio and Video formats.

Hope it helps.

Is windows media player able to play dvds? how daes it work? my laptop media can not play dvds.. i m feeling tired of it..

You may need codecs in order to play most DVD videos and other formats like DivX. Use this codec pack here. Select the Media Player Classic as the application while you were asked to provide it. K-Lite After that both of your players are ready to play DVDs (its better to have Media Player 11 in your system for a better experience) Enjoy your movie!

Cannot play dvds. says my Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer.

Chances are you need the proper codec to run the DVD. Software companies often write their own 'interpreter' software to read the format they use to encode videos/music files.

Trying doing a search on the internet for the type of file format Windows Media Player is trying to run, then look for the codec for that format. Unless the format is copyright protected, Microsoft should have the codec available on their website.
