Brand new 16254- blinking LED, nothing happened

I just got the Kenmore 16254 from sears, after hooked everything, and checked everything on the list without no problem. After I plug in the power, only Hi-Temp & Heat Only LEDs flashing/ blinking, and nothing happened when I press any other options, Start/Cacel. Only thing I can stop blinking is either open the door or unplug the power. The plumber guy said it is the dishwasher problem. I search Internet, no one had same problem that I have so far, any suggestions about this problem or suggestions about the dishwasher? Thanks!! LW

I am also having the same problem. I called Kenmore, but they said that they can't come out until the first week of February! I am pretty disappointed that it will take that long. It seems like something that they could troubleshoot over the phone. I also submitted a question online to the Kenmore experts. Once I hear something, I will post here.

Temprary solution is to press both Hi-Temp and Strart. The washer will go through test cycles and finish. The next time it will work fine. This is a intermittent problem. No final solution yet.

I had a repair man come out from Sears and it turned out that it wasnt sending power to the heat element. It would run sometimes non stop other times it would run for a few minutes and then the lights would blink. He replaced the control module and it seems to be fine now......They also said that sometimes the problem is that the hotwater heater isnt set high enough.. He said it takes 20 minutes to raise the temperture 1 degree. He said to make sure the hotwater heater is set to at least 120 degrees and to run the hot water to get it in the pipes before I start the dishwasher..

Insignia ns-55l260a13 does not power on. Power led blinks 5 shorts, pause, 2 shorts and stays on. Screen blinks and nothing else happens afterwards.

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device, in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

Go to the link below and enter your model number in the search window there. Sears has thousands of parts lists and line drawing illustrations that can aid in finding the reset button if present or any other part you may want to locate or replace.

BTW, it does not have to be a Kenmore or Sears-branded appliance. They have many others as well.

Blinking on learning indicator...push the remote or wall button nothing works...what happen?

If that LED is blinking a code let me know what it is. For instance 5 blinks and a pause then repeats. If it is just blinking randomly that is normal.

Kenmore double oven f4 fault code - door locked.

We had the F4 problem and called Sears repa. They sent someone out. The guy opened the panel above the bottom oven (we have a double oven) and hit a reset button - then charged us $75. This has worked on several occasions (my husband did it after that). But then that didn't work and Sear's told us it was the electronic panel which they replaced twice. Now it's (F4) happened again on the top oven only on a brand new electronic panel. So I guess it's the heat sensor this time.

If the display works, but the machine doesn't fill, wash, or pump out, the control board is the only component that could cause all these symptoms.

Please help....It was just like a "Frankenstein" movie.

Normally that aarcing is due to food particles or grease trapped in the waveguide. It will arc over and over until it is removed. The other, worse possibility is that the stirrer or magnetron has failed. If it'sd still under warranty, I would call the nearest Sears store for service. If you or a friend decide to work on it, we have *critical* safety & disassembly info at our site, which is linked at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number (without the suffix) here: http://www3.sears.com (the 3 is correct)
