SOURCE: loud squeal during wash and spin cycles, maytag atlantis washer

Squealing normal occurs due to belt slippage. I would check your belts (look for cracks. Check the belt tension as well, most washers have an adjustment, normally on the motor that allows you to increase the tension of the belt.

If part of a belt gets torn and it is long enough, it will hit any part of the washing machine within range and make a clicking noise at every revolution of the motor.

I am pretty sure you need new belts. You should be able to remove a few screws and open the back cover. Between the pulleys there is a tensioner...loosen that so you can remove the belt easily. replace it with a new belt and adjust the tension.

hope this helps

SOURCE: Washing machine making whining noise during spin only

Yes, bearing, most definitely. It is a cheap part but difficult to replace.

SOURCE: LG Intellowasher 7kg 800rpm WD-8074FHB

It could be that the springs have become lazy (stretched) and not supporting the spinning weight as good as they once did or as happened to me one of the shock absorbers at the base of the unit has come adrift from its securing point. Replacement parts are easily available but you will need someone strong to fit them with all that new tension.

Hi. Check if the seal is properly installed back and glass centred. Loud noise is usually related to main bearing going bad. Check for belt tension.

Hi my hotpoint washing machine is near 3 years old the last few weeks it is making a terrible noise when on spin only. \r\nthe noise is really loud but everything is washing and drying the same its just...

Sounds loike the main drum bearings have failed.
Spin the drum by hand from the front, and if it feels rough, or is rumbling or grating, then the main bearigs have failed.
Quite an expensive repair, unless it is covered by the Hotpoint 5 year parts guarantee, check with Hotpoint.

Hotpoint VBSR2080WOWW washing machine vibrates with loud noise

hi,
this is a generic problem with top-loading washing machines. when the distribution of load is not uniform, it gives sound when spinning. if it produces noise even after equal distribution of clothes, the problem lies in the suspension. this is not a major fault, and can be put up with, rather than spending dollars on fixing it. this will in no way cause any special wear and tear for the machine.
cheers

Hi,my hotpoint wf541 washing machine has become noisy on its spin cycle, any ideas as to what is wrong with it,or can you recomend a repairer for me in Lincoln,uk?

Try spinning the drum by hand ,if it feels or sounds noisy, then the main bearings have gone, if no obvious niose, then it could be m/c not level, overloading,-loose balance weight)(s)-suspension spring broken or unhooked--there are other causes, but these are the usual things to look for.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.
