SOURCE: remote control codes
The only remote that works is the one 4 all. Call ONE 4 ALL for the right model number. They then can program the remote on the phone to operate the SVA tv. It worked for me until the set died this week. Guess why I am looking on this site.

yes it can, you jusr need a new panel to replace it with, you can get panels from all other the internet including ebay. its as simple as taking apart the tv, removing the damaged panel, and then placing in the new one and sealing everything back up again.
i have done it with a few flat screens, myself, they are basically large PC TFT screens.
you could even contact LG and get a price for a new panel, but they will want your serial.
you could also have a tv repair shop order the part for you but would cost around 10% or so extra
