Re: turn the speakers to ON
If it shows the speaker setup in the menu , then try to reset the speaker settings in the menu
the reason i ask about the hdmi is because this can mess up the internal sound and video
so try to reset the speakers setting in the menu , but if you have an external audio output connection to the tv , like to a reciever , then that could have messed up the audio inside the tv , so also unhook any source to the tv that has the audio connectors hooked up and see if you can then turn on the internal speakers
No I am not using a hdmi input. This problem exists within the unit itself. I am unable to manually turn on the Televisions internal speakers. they are currently set to off and are not highlighted within the menu to be able to turn them back on. I hope this helps. thank you!

Reset component settings. Usually, the
problems you encounter with a projection TV may be resolved through the resetting to
its factory settings. If you experience inaccuracies in the color, reset
the television's PerfectTint/PerfectColor capabilities. Simply press the
Menu tab and then highlight "Perfect Color" using your right key arrow.
After this, press "Enter" and then "Reset" in order to reset to factory
settings. If you have audio / video problems (VCR or DVD player), simply
press "Menu" and highlight the "Reset" option.
Reset television controls. In case you
cannot fix your TV via its component settings, there are other ways of
resetting. Just select "Menu", key in "1, 2, 3", and then press
"Enter." In doing this, the TV's manufacturer's specifications will
all be restored. If your TV's power system does not function, you should
perform a complete system reset. You can do this by clicking on Reset
System button located at the TV's control panel. Your television will be
turned off and then a green light (LED) will quickly flash for
approximately one minute. Once the light has stopped flashing, your TV
should immediately turn on.
Use your remote control.
The first step is to inspect the batteries of the remote control and see if
they are functioning. If its power button starts to blink several times once
you turned it on, then the batteries need to be replaced. See to it that your
remote control is used within about 20 feet from the television. Make sure also
that nothing blocks the space between the remote control and the receiver.
Check ur tv it is not on mute mode.Try go into tv menu go to Audio Seting reset every back to factory setting.Check ur tv Audio Setting is it not on VARIABLE setting.Must be on FIX setting to able to used tv internal speakers. These steps should help tv get audio back.
Assuming the internal speakers are undamaged, press Menu and go to Audio. Select Advanced Settings. Go down to Internal Speakers and turn them on (put a check mark in the box). Press Select to set the feature.
Hi, I can help. It sounds like the TV internal speakers were turned off so that the only speakers to have sound were the external ones. Go to your menu and find the sound area. There you can tell the TV to send sound to the internal speakers once again and not to external.
On the back panel of your tv you will see two audio inputs labeled AUDIO TO HI-FI. Plug your surround sound audio jacks, ( red and white ) into that. Plug your video jack ( yellow ) into what ever number input you are going to use for dvd, if needed. This will allow you to watch tv and hear it in your surround sound. You should also go to menu- then- audio option and turn off your tv internal speakers, this will allow your tv remote to control your volume of surround sound. Hope this helped.
Check your TV menu and see if the internal speakers are turned off. Sony opts to cut sound to the internal speakers when you have an external audio amp hooked up for sound, hopefully for obvious reasons. Most audio amp problems inside the TV will result in 9 blinks of the red power light and the TV failing to turn on. If that doesn't help, you may need to have the set repaired.
Good Day, corilyn;
Several things that you may try:
1. Unplug TV and Cable/Sat box for 3-4 minutes, plug all back in, that's resetting the devices.
2. Some boxes have volume controls, make sure 'box' volume are turned to max.
3. Go into TV's customer menu, go to audio section, make sure speakers are turned on/ set to internal speakers.
