Question about Pioneer AVIC-N2 DVD/CD/navigation receiver with 6.5" monitor Car Video Player
I hooked up my XM radio through my navi unit and it displays a message on my screen that says XM updating please Wait. It pops up about every 10 seconds on my navi screen. Also my gauges won't pull up on it either. If you can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! Phil
I had the same problem and resolved it by unplugging the data cable. Make sure its the data cable and not the ip-bus cable that you unplug. That should work. The problem is when you have a NavTraffic compatible unit but are not subscribed to NavTraffic, it tries to update it. But because there isn't a subscription for navtraffic it fails to update. Unplugging the data cable will make the unit think that the xm receiver is not compatible with navtraffic and will make that message go away. You will still be able to receive xm channels without the data cable being plugged in.
