Question about StumbleUpon Social Network

1 Answer

''Nonresponsive Script'' Whenever I hit the Stumble! button and I go to a site, I end up getting at least 2 messages of "This Script is unresponsive would you like to stop it." the problem though is that it freezes my browser(Firefox) for a while. I have Firefox version 3.0.4 and I have tried to uninstall and reinstall StumbleUpon. Help Please!

Try "Firefox Safe Mode". If the problem goes away, disable your extensions, one by one.

Twitter "Script" Error

I would blame Internet Explorer as the culprit here. Try a modern browser: [LINK]

Google Chrome is updated far more often and while Internet Explorer has been improving here and there recently, I would bet that the problem goes away and your internet experience itself improves with a newer browser. Good Luck!

I want my facbook chat to get back to normal... the way it was when facebook just started no chat message in inbox no side bar and all ... please suggest me ways to do that... i am gone crazy of this...

If you know a bit of CSS, you can use stylish (an add on for firefox or chrome) and create a user script that will remove the chat bar in its entirety. You might be lucky and find a script already created that does just that at stylish's site. Otherwise just stay in offline mode.

I get various messages from face book that says follow this site below. How do I do that

I'm not sure which question you are asking, so I'll discuss both possibilities:

(1) If you want to follow a site because you are interested in the topic, go to that site's page in Facebook and click the "Like" button. For example, if you are interested in the computer that recently played Jeopardy, you could enter "IBM Watson" in the Facebook search box, and then click the Like button on that page:

(2) If you want to follow a link that was sent to you in an e-mail from Facebook, then you should ensure that you are connected to the Internet and then single-click on the link. If it's not a hyperlink (usually you can spot a hyperlink because it's underlined and colored blue), then you can copy and paste the link into your web browser. For example, you can highlight the text (from "http:" all the way through the end of that string of characters), then hit Ctrl-C (hold down the Control key on your keyboard and tap "C") to copy, then go to your web browser and hit Ctrl-V in the address bar to paste the link in there. Hit Enter and you should be good to go!

If neither of these options answers your question, please feel free to provide additional detail regarding your problem.

Have a great day!

I keep getting internet explorer cannot display the webpage what can I do?

1.probably the issue may be Problem with your internet connection/server /ISP in that case just go to run and ping facebook.com -t in the box and hit ok check if there is continuous response from the server if the reply is not continuous try after some time there is browsing problem with your server in that case.If facebook is the only website that is not loading or is showing a error then there might be some kind a browsing problem on your server .Don't worry you don't need to do anything just wait for some time it will be solved automatically.Actually some times the connection of your server fails with the server of the website.
2.There may be a problem with your internet browser some script might be corrupted or infected with a virus because of which the page might be failing to load
3.Go to tools in your internet explorer and point to security and select medium security or lower than that too much of firewall protection causes browsers to respond in a unresponsive way. After that point to privacy and select medium or lower .Lastly go to advanced and click on restore defaults and then click ok.
try the above and your problem will be solved
