Question about Nokia 2300 Cellular Phone

Sim not valid

Although I put a sim or a new sim it appears that sim not valid. But if I put the same sim to another phone its working please help me

Look at the pin of the sim card connection (yellow coloured) , raise it up (so that it'll be well attached to your sim card when you put it.)

if problem still occur, try strengthened the screws in your phone (learn to open the casing of your phone). might just be the problem of loose parts of the body of your phone (that near your sim card)

if problem still occur, the feet of your sim card connector (that's attached to the machine board) might be broken, bring it to technician to reattached it.

hi,

You may :
- put the sim card on wrong orientation ( please check the chamfer edge of your SIM for your refference on SIM tray / slot in phone)

- have the SIM expired ( in this case you need to replace it with new or valid one)

This error usually occurs when you attempt to use a SIM card from a network other than the network from which the phone originated (e.g. your Nokia mobile phone originated from Orange UK and displays the 'Sim Card Not Valid' error when you attempt to use a T-Mobile UK SIM card). The 'Sim Card Not Valid' error usually means the phone has been restricted for use on one specific network and you would need to unlock the phone before alternative network SIM cards can be used.

could You test the new SIM on another phone? Could be the housing of SIM damage on phone - hardware problem - Nokia Service.

in any case you need to find out which network and ask them for the unlock code.

Only the original network to which it is locked can provide this code.

you will have to go to whatever provider that your sim belongs to and have them validate the sim card for your new phone

Hi,

If your phone is telling you that your Sim card is not valid.

There is two possible conditions.
1) There is water on you sim card or it is dirty
What to do: Take yout phone apart (back caver, batteries, SIM card, abd memcard) dry everything and clean it up. Then put it back together.

OR

2) Your sim card is scratched.
To ensure it try that sim in another phone and see....
Only thing to do: Buy a new Sim card.

hte thing is...ur phone is handset bundled offer phone..so til the validity ends on ur new sim card..the phone is designed to detect only new sim..so ucant change til validity ends...or u may approach any private local mobile repair shop..i wont cost u much..

Vodafone sim problem.


i think the sim validity period has been expired ...
i mean if you didnt recharge for 90 days the sim validity will be getting expired automatically... this is made by the network operator in standard for all sim cards ....
if it is not true then try inserting in other handset & have a try ...
if you face same problem then really the sim validity has been expired ...
take a new sim....
