I have recently purchased a HP Pavillion dv3000. All is working fime except the Quickplay touch panel which stopped working after about a week of me using the laptop? Pse help with any recommendations for this problem?
OK..... This is a Big Problem For your Make Model....
I own One As Well.... Not to Mention The 15 or 20 that Ive Repaired for the same problem...
Your Media Strip and Power Button Both Have An Extremely Thin Ribbon Cable That Goes From The Media Board and Power Button Board Down The Laptop Base o The Motherboard Right WHere Your Palm Rest Is.....
Over Time ... The Pressure From You Resting Your Palms On The Laptop Base Pushes Down On These Fragile Crappy Ribbon Cables and They Crack.....
You Will Need To Replace Or Attempt To Reseat The Cable In Its Slot If By Chance It Pulled Out Of It.. In Most Cases The Ribbon Cable Cracks and loses the connection....
The Cables Go For $35 a Piece On Ebay......
The AfterMarket Ones They Offer Now Are Way Stronger Than The OEM ones....
Booooo on HP for Using **** Parts....
