Re: Display goes blank
Try upgrade the firmware, bring your phone to HTC service center or to the place where you bought it. This might be caused from bugs from early firmware (software) from your phone, since people keep complaining, sure HTC will make a newer firmware which is bug-free and update it to internet or to their service center.
P.s: If you still have warranty, bring it to HTC service center, it'll be free and will not broke your warranty. And don't let them have your phone by days, upgrade only need couple of hours, try to wait them, make them promise that it'll be finished by that day. Good Luck ^^

The problem is not a software problem that requires any for of updates or download, it is a hardware problem that requires you to take apart the phone and replace the flexi ribbon that connects the screen to the main board of the phone. The flexi ribbon is weak and need to be replaced. That is why the screen goes blank for a while.
To disassemble the phone, you will have to get a torx screwdriver, then you remove the back cover, the battery and your sim card if you use any, then you unhook the back of the phone and unscrew the screws you can see, then you slide a thing like a credit card around the edges of the phone, then you separate the front cover apart too, then you unscrew the screws around the panel then you release the screen gently, remove the flexi ribbon that connects the screen to the main board then replace it and reverse the process to reassemble the phone back together.
If you are not familiar with such technical activity, i will advice you seek the assistance of a repairer so as not to damage any component inside the phone.
The reason your phone goes blank at intervals is because there is a problem with the phone.
First, flash the phone with the appropriate software and cable, then you open up the phone with the appropriate screwdrivers and check if the screen connector also known as the flex is properly seated on the main board. Also check if the flex is damaged so you will be able to replace the flex with a new one.
Having done this, your phone will be in good condition once again.
Unfortunately there is no such thing as a HTC S710 unlock generator or free HTC S710 unlock code, as such there is no way to unlock your HTC S710 for free, HTC S710 randomly generate the codes so they have full control over unlocking HTC S710, However we can supply Codes To Unlock HTC S710 Phones FAST and at very reasonable prices Just go to the link below.
Ok, Good to read the detailed description. You said, the battery is full but did u checked the battery healthiness. Is it really full. Put the battery in another set if you have because the true picture will be in front when u check the battery on load condition. You can check the battery voltage but it might show you the full desired volt but without load. So, the better way has mentioned. Tell me one thing that was it going off when u swap/filip ist screen. If this is the case, then u need to check the strip that connects the keypad of your phone with the LCD. This can be the issue...
..hm I suppose you installed some new sofware or tried to tune up something in the registry entries, isnt it? First try to unistall the latest software and if it does not help then you have to make a hard reset:
Click Start > Expert > Clear Storage. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset the phone.
Power off your device Press and hold both softkeys nearest the screen Press the power button (you should see a black screen confirming this reset) Release the two soft keys Press the Green Phone button Wait untill the clean boot is finished...
I had the same problem. Went and bought a new battery.
Replaced it and let it charged without turning it off.
4 days now and I have not see the black screen yet.
Before it was happening almost everytime I wanted to use my phone.
At least once a hour I would have to shutdown and pull the battery.
