Set custom page setup at printer setup. Set as landscape. Print landscape.

Unplug the laptop.

Go to your start menu.

Locate "My Computer" and RIGHT CLICK.
Select "Manage".

Locate your HP Deskjet 1520, and right click, and select Uninstall.

After it has uninstalled, go to the top menu Action > Scan for hardware changes.

It will detect your printer, and want to install the drivers. Select install, and let windows automatically choose the best drivers/location.

Your printer should now be reinstalled, and the busted print queue now fixed.

You first need to get a Parallel Printer to USB cable. Once you have that, in Vista, click add a printer, do the windows update, and Epson Stylus Color 1520 should appear. Now you need to make sure that the port being used is the Virtual USB Printing Port, for example USB001....and there you have it...

There could be something wrong with the connections going to the ink jet cartridge in the printer.

Someone should take a look at it.

Seeing as how this could be an expensive operation, I suggest we first eliminate problem with the printer driver as the cause of the anomalous print output. To do this I need you to reinstall the printer on your PC using the latest drivers:

1. Download the latest driver for your printer at
   http://www.samsung.com/za/support/download/supportDown.do?model_nm=ML-1520&mType=DR&vType=L&disp_nm=ML-1520
   (be sure to select the driver which corresponds to the operating system you are running on your PC)
   
2. Delete the printer from your PC
3. Install the printer using the newly downloaded driver

If reinstalling the printer using the latest print driver doesn't result in a solution to the print output problem, we can deduce that the problem is caused by a hardware component.
To solve the hardware related problem you will need to either perform the maintenance cycle yourself or take the printer to a computer repair shop so a IT technician can do it for you. This process involves buying a maintenance kit (which contain replacement components for the printer), and replacing the components according to the maintenance kit manual.
