Error 01739 means that you loaded a wrong ribbon into the printer.
This ribbon is not supported.

Sounds like you are using an incompatible ribbon. Please post the configuration for the printer which is on the left side under the cover (white sticker) and your ribbon part number. If you are sure both are correct you may have a defective print ribbon or your printer will need service.

apply some cooking oil to where the parts are connected. If that fails, please submerge the parts in a bucket of or tube of water and attempt to detach them from each other. If all else fails, please reference the manual to ensure that you've not missed a detachment procedure.

I have a DataCard SP25 card printer that won't power up. I switched cords to a known good one and still no power. I suspect it's the power supply in the unit. Is this replacable and what might the cost be?...
There is no power supply in the printer, the power supply is external, nothing user replaceable inside, sounds like you need a new system board, you would be better off trading in for a discount on a new SP25 Plus.

THE RIBBON BROKE ON MY DATACARD SP25 PLUS.
to fix the problem that is causing the ribbons to brake or the broken ribbon it self?
1. check edge to edge settings in printer toolbox
2. to fix broken ribbon re wrap it straight over the take up spool and use a piece of tape to hold in-place.
