Most of these sets have two tuners--one for main and one for PIP.

If main picture works fine but PIP is bad or Green? either the PIP tuner or the PIP board is bad---these were known to have the PIP have problems but it was more rare than their sets made before it.

Plasma tv green light flashes 5-6 times then stays green but no picture or sound

Remove one at a time the Y sus and Y buffer cables that go to the power board and see if the set stays on then, you may have a distorted pic, replace the board that makes the set stay on...there are some transistors on the buffer board that give issues a lot and I'd guess that's where your issue is at

You have your input R G B / component wires hooked up incorrectly. The tv is detecting that and letting you know. disconnect and redo observe the color matching.

Buttkicker Gamer 2 Amplifier won't turn on, light stays orange when it should be green. used to be a struggle sometimes to get it to turn green by using the remote, now it just stays orange all the...

Your Gamer 2 Amp turns on whenever an audio signal is present on the input. The amp can have trouble tuning on if the output of the source (computer sound card, etc.) has been turned down. This can happen easily if you use amplified speakers - if you turn the sound card's volume control down - and then increase the volume at the amplified speaker - the resulting sound is the same; even though the signal has been lowered. The problem is that the output from the sound card isn't sufficient to turn on the Gamer 2 Amp.

Try turning down the external speaker volume, then bump up the sound card volume. You'll probably need to adjust the other inputs individually (Wave, Mic, CD, etc) so that none is too loud or soft. Once the input values have been set, gradually increase the output of the sound card in the control panel application etc. while decreasing the volume on the amplified speaker to maintain a comfortable level. Eventually, you'll find the correct volume level on the sound card output that will wake up the Gamer 2 Amp.

If you're still having trouble, review the manual, here. I hope this helps & good luck!

I was making a video of all my pics a while back and saved it to a dvd-r. I forgot all about it and ran across it yesterday. I now want to get those pics off of that file which is a wmv file. Do I need to...

If all you have now is the video (wmv) file and no pictures saved anywhere there isn't a direct way to get them back to their original form. The simplest solution that requires no extra software may work okay, depending on how much the quality of the photos matters.

What you need:

Open up the Paint program (Start Menu > Search bar > type in 'Paint' and open the file it finds)
Run the video file (fullscreen)

You can open the video and for every picture you have pause the video and then hit the 'Prt Scrn' (print screen) key once; usually located towards the upper right of the keyboard.
Once you have done that pull up the Paint program and either press Ctrl+V or click the "Paste" icon at the far left side of the toolbar. If that worked you should have a copy of the picture in paint now. If you do then save the image.
Now just go back to the video and resume play until you get to the next picture, pause it, and repeat the above steps until you have all the photos saved.

There are screen capture programs that would simplify this process, but I don't have any to suggest offhand except FRAPS which costs about $30 to purchase and is primarily used for video recording.

My television only puts out a pic in 480. The 720 and 1080 are not working. Getting sound no picture

No input on a WS-55511 is capable of 720p . Inputs COMP1 and COMP2 ONLY accept 480i/480p . Input DTV accepts 480i/p and 1080i . When using Input DTV with a component connection(YPbPr) and you get a green or no picture then you will need to navigate the menus and setup input DTV for YPbPr instead of RGB.

When I turn my Sanyo DP37647 TV on the green light comes on but there is no picture or sound.

When there is neither picture nor sound you're likely in need of a service or replacement of the main board.

Service is usually the way to go as replacement is unable to find or too darn expensive, at least in the past year or so.

The typical indication of this problm is that the front light doesn't just stay green, but actually blinks for a second every 15-20 seconds.

If it does that you're definitely in for service.

The DP37647 model isn't listed there as we're planning to post about it in a separate article...however it has the same symptoms as some of the others.

If you want to send the board in for repair , shipping instructions can be found at http://www.coppelltvrepair.com .

It really isn't a simple DIY service like a fuse or capacitor replacement.
