Window range error

Window ranges are the intervals [Xmin, Xmax], and [Ymin, Ymax]. If you mistakenly take Xmin> Xmax, or Ymin >Ymax you have a range error. That is how it works with other TI's.

Every time i try to graph something it says ERROR: WINDOW RANGE. how do i fix this?

Press ZOOM 6 to reset the window range to the standard default and you should get a graph of some kind. If this is showing you the wrong area for whatever function(s) you're plotting, press WINDOW and set the range appropriately.

I keep getting an error message when I try to graph something. It says window range. I have tired to change my windows Xmin and etc..when I try to change it won't let states Error Syntax

It is difficult to know what you have done with the calculator before you started to graph. So if you agree we will start with a clean slate.

Reset the calculator
  1. Press [2nd][+] to access the (MEM)ory management tool.
  2. Select [7:Reset][[1:All Ram][2:Reset].
  3. Calculator answers with the message "Ram Cleared".
  4. Press [CLEAR] to erase message.
  5. Restart your graphing.

If you do not want to erase the content of the RAM, you can eliminate the error by pressing the [ZOOM] button and selecting [6:ZStandard].

If you do not get an error message, then the graph is out of range. Try to zoom out, or play with the window dimensions.
Hope it helps.
