Question about Procom ML300HGA Heater

Pro Com QD250T can I install directly to a 4 gal. Propane tank

I bought a Pro Com QD250T dual fuel vent free stove. Can I just hook it up to a 5gal. propane tank? I really don't want to run hard lines into the house from another tank. We live in the Pacific Northwest and would just put it away for the summer months. Can I do this?

How to connect two 1000 gal lp tanks together

Assuming that you want only one tank to run out at a time, you will need to set each at a different supply pressure, then Tee them together on the delivery side of the regulators. You will need pressure-holding regulators. Pressure-relieving type will not work unless you add a one-way backflow prevention valve after the regulator in the branch that is set to lower pressure.

Just had fuel delivered and the heater burner won't start. Probably a bubble in the line?

This is probably due to the fact that you will need to purge the line. Be sure to ventulate the area that the stove is around and make sure you have no open flames while doing so. Also, remember that if you fill your propane tank FULL then it will take a little while for the pressure to build up in the tank because its cold outside.
Hope that helps.

I ran out of fuel. I put 5 gal in tank. Lid was missing and it has been raining heavily so I now assume there is water in the fuel. We disconnected the line from back of stove and from fuel tank and bled...

Do you see any flame at all after it goes through the startup cycle? It is very common for water in the fuel to knock out the igniter. You can check the igniter with an ohmmeter or a clamp on ammeter. You should get somewhere between 10 and 20 ohms with the ohmmeter connected to the 2 ends of the igniter. You should read 2 to 3 amps with a clamp on ammeter around 1 of the igniter leads. If the fuel pump makes a loud ticking or thumping sound when it comes on then the fuel isn't getting to the sump. Check the filter and the strainer in the fuel sump.

My toyo lazer 30 won't start, and the EE2 problem comes up.

With an EE2 message you have a problem with the stove igniting during start up. If you continue to try you will end up with an EE22 and the stove will be locked out. If so, un plug for 20 minutes. While you are waiting check out you fuel system. Low fuel, no fuel, dirty filter on tank and stove. Be sure to bled the air off the top of the filter when you change it.

Keep us posted.

Propane tank was almost empty and when the heater/stove came on, it sounded like air coming in. It made a lot of noise, hissing like. Tank full now and occassionally when the heater lights, there's a big...

First of all you need to give more details with your questions.... is this an atmospheric burner, a ventless, a direct vent or a high efficiency. Since you haven't put this down, I will guess that it is an atmospheric (those who know little about propane always go with the cheapest option) As for your problems....The two are totally unrelated. Check your air gas mixture. it sounds like you need to adjust your burner venturi sleeve.

I have a Monitor 30, it comes on and just runs, it will not lite until I lift the primer once or twice, then it heats fine. I checked the filter and made sure the tank was high enough for a 5 gallon...

You have some kind of fuel problem. When you mention 5 gals of fuel, that leads me to think you need more fuel ( more pressure). If you have a large tank and only have 5 gals you may no have enough head pressure to push the fuel through the line and all the filters in the system. That being said the Monitor 30 is the oldest vented heater around. Parts have not been available for 15 years. The thing that scares me about the M30 is the flame safety circuit. I don't think it is adequate. If you rely on this heater to keep pipes thawed I would get a new Monitor or Toyo.
