Most RCA TV sets use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The code reset is different depending on the model. Try each number until you find the one that works for you.
1.Hold down the MENU button on the remote and VOLUME DOWN button on the TV it's self at the same time for at least 4 seconds. The set won't say so, but the lock will be unlocked
2.Hold down the 0 (zero) button on the remote and the VOLUME DOWN button on the TV itself at the same time for at least 4 seconds. The set won't say so, but the lock will be unlocked
3.Hold down the MENU button on the front of the TV and the TV button on the remote at the same time for at least 4 seconds. 4- Hold down GO BACK button on the remote and MENU button on the front of the TV at the same time for at least 4 seconds. Hold down EJECT button on the front of the TV set and the MENU button on the remote at the same time for at least 4 seconds. Depending on the model, one of the methods should unlock the V-chip. Now, if desired, you can change the settings on the V-chip by going to the MENU and going to PARENTAL CONTROLS, or on some sets, going to MENU and then going to TV SETUP, then to V-CHIP SET.
on most tvs you have to reset through the menu with the remote! If you dont have a remote you can press the volume up and down buttons at the same time or the volume up and down buttons at the same time and the menu should pop up.. Hope this helps.
while the video is playing, you can increase the volume by pressing the
button above the Func. Set center button and decrease the volume by
pressing the button below the Func. Set button. Think we both
accidentally turned the volume all the way down.
Too bad you can't tell this by going to the volume menu! Would have been
nice to know I was still recording audio while shooting video. Hope
ie menu = Menu
Channel up/down = take you up and down

right now you have your telly tuned in. What you could do it get an old sky remote off a friend/ neighbour. or buy from argos etc ( a lot cheaper then getting a replacement samsung one)
press the following buttons on the sky remote to program it to work with your samsung tv.
RED + SELECT
try the volume if this works press SELECT to save this code if it doesnt press Tv then try the volume again. repeat this step until the volume works your telly. once it doest dont forget to press the SELECT button to save.
Now you will be able to change your volume use the number keys. if you also press the HELP button on the sky remote this will also change your AV / SOURCE I hope this post helps you out. When it does please leave a thumbs up for me Please
There are 2 reasons that this is happening in respect to the problem commencing after your daughter has cleaned the tv. Either your daughter has sprayed the volume button with cleaner and fluid has got into the the graphite pad under the button and conducting as though the button is being pressed continuously..or she has put too much pressure on the button if it is a metallic plate contact switch. One way to find out is by pressing the down volume button.does it it click ? if it does.try the up volume..If that doesnt click the problem is the metallic plate is dented in making contact hence a new switch. Another cause ive seen is cleaning the remote control with cleaner and fluid has got into the remote and it sends signals to the tv all the time..If the remote control is hidden under a cushion and the problem stops, then the remote control is at fault and needs drying out..Hope this helps :)
