For this job, all your work is going to be behind the machine. Tools you'll need is: 1/4 nut driver or drill with 1/4 adapter and a multimeter with ability to check continuity. With the machine unplugged, remove the back cover of the dryer. Once done, the heating element will be located on the right hand side with two fuses on the housing of the element. Test the element and each fuse seperatly by removing the wires and checking for continuity on each component. All parts should show continuity, so if one doesn't its bad and needs to be replaced

My dryer wont heat

Not sure of my brand, but when my dryer would continue to run without heating, I replaced one small fuse in the back using Google to find the right part (What Causes Gas Dryer to Stop Heating) and a youtube video to walk me through the process. Instead of a $75 maintenance visit or purchasing a new dryer, I solved the problem for $2.50.
This video worked for me, but you could search for other brands.

Hi,

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

Gas dryer heats then wont heat?

Bad ignitor most likely. Has a hair line crack, and yields an iffy contact.

Dryer still wont heat

you could remove and bench test the theromostat. my kenmore would not complete the circut to heat at all with a faulty thermostat. Just use a jumper wire to bypass it and test it THERE WILL BE NO SHUT OFF COULD HEAT UP TOO MUCH IF LEFT RUNNING.
