Re: color

My advice on the color problem is the actual brother cartridges are the only ones that work best. anything else causes problems. if in useing a refill kit so dont use anything but Brother cartridges.

Re: color

Another possibility for a refilled cartridge is that the wrong color ink was put in the wrong section of the cartridge. Just replace the cartridge with a new HP cartridge, if the problem goes away you know the problem was a defective cartridge. FYI when I buy refilled cartridges I always keep a new spare just in case. Refilling ink jet (or toner) cartridges requires skill and experience and not all refillers have it. If you buy refilled cartridges you will on occasions get a bad, keeping a new spare around ensures you wont run out of ink when you really need to print.

Re: color

I am assuming from your brief problem description that you are getting bad colors when you changed your color cartridge. Are you using a new and certified HP ink cartridge? Are you doing a refill of your old ink cartridge or have bought one of those "re-manufactured" cartridges? The head in the cartridge is very sensitive - when they are damaged or poorly handled - it could result in cross contamination of the color inks. Hence - the brownish color you see could be the result of that cross-contam. My impression is that the remanufactured or older or continously refilled cartridges may be more prone to getting damaged - maybe bec of inherent wear out. Hope this helps.

Whenever I print color, entire page comes out blue. I have replaced the cyan cartridge (twice) and the Laser Transfer Kit. Sometimes there are thick blue streaks in addition to the overall blue color. What...

Run the "disable cartridge check"
It will be in the Diagnostics.
Once you start the test, you can remove all the cartridges. Put the cyan in the black cartridge slot.
print a config page. If it is all blue, you have another bad cartridge. If it prints correctly(minus the other colors)...continue
Now put the magenta in the cyan cartridge slot. Print the config page again. If you have red all over the page, you have a problem with the slot itself.
Press the STOP button and then select EXIT diagnostics. Put the cartridges back where they all go and run CALIBRATION more than once.

Down arrow/print quality/seect print quality
Down arrow/ calibrate now. Select it and wait.

Hi, I'm getting an error mesage that says right cartridge incorrect. I took the cartridge out and put it back in , but I'm still getting the error message. It was working fine and then the message appeared

turn the printer on.then remove both the cartridges out.on the cartridges you will see the brown color dotted circuit.clean that circuit with a dry tissue paper.on the lower base of the cartridge you will see the nozzle of the cartridge from where the ink comes out from the cartridge from printing.clean that area also with tissue paper.dont apply too much force on the circuit , the circuit of the cartridge is very delicate so take take care you don't make rashes on the cartridge or nozzle while cleaning the cartridges.clean the circuit of both the cartridges one-by-one. then in the printer where you insert the cartridges, there also you will see the same brown color dotted circuit .clean that circuit also with the dry tissue.take care you don't damage the printer circuit.then after the cleaning is finished, properly insert the cartridges in the printer to their respective positions.then check out the printer it showing the same message or the message is gone.if its showing the same message ,then turn the printer off then ON then check out again if its still the same problem message on display then its confirmed that the right side cartridge in the printer is got faulty.the brown dotted circuit is getting short in the cartridge so the printer is not detecting the cartridge and this error comes this case the cartridge needs to be replaced.this is very common problem and occurs many a times.replacing the cartridge solves the problem if cleaning the circuit does not helps. this will help.please do rate the solution.keep updated for any further assistance if more help required.,thanks.

Colors are off. Browns print green or purple. I

BROWN is made by mixing two of the three "primary" colours.
So, if the printer is out of RED ink, you'll get the "other" primary colour.

Print a "test" page, and verify that part of that page is RED.

Run a printer "cleaning" cycle, and consider replacing the RED cartridge.

Printer Wont print even with new ink

that means, 1 or more of the carts is showing low on ink or it might not being recognized. it might be the ink has a problem or the printer has a problem that it cant recognize the ink. try to Remove and reInstall Cartridges,
Press the nx200ug.1.106.4.jpg Stop button. The print head moves to the nx200ug.1.106.5.jpg position to indicate which cartridge is low or expended. Press the nx200ug.1.106.7.jpg Stop button again. If another cartridge is low or expended, the print head moves to the nx200ug.1.106.8.jpg position. Press the nx200ug.1.106.9.jpg Stop button again to see if more cartridges are expended. If no other cartridges are low or expended, the print head moves to the replacement position on the right. once you've identify w/c color has a problem, and removing and reinserting it does not resolve the issue, try another ink of that same color, if the issue persist, that means the printer is broken, call epson to get a replacement printer if it is with in 1 yr. from the date of purchase

Epson CX7450 Black Ink Won't Work...

I was having the same problem. This fixed it:

Lift up the scanner bed (top part) of the printer to expose the cartridges.

Push the red triangle button once. Wait for the cartridge carrier to move to the middle. On the housing of the printer (the non-moving part), there is an arrow that will point to the empty cartridge.

Push the red triangle button again to see if the next cartridge is empty. Repeat this step, noting which cartridges are empty, until the cartridge carrier moves to the right. Now you can replace each cartridge that is empty.

After replacing the empty cartridges, push the red triangle button again, and the carrier will begin moving back and forth (cleaning itself). Once it stops, it should be positioned on the far right side.

Lower the scanner bed to "close" the printer. The ink light should go off and you should be able to print.

Prints all yellow, with some blue and black, no brown

the problem is very simple the magenta ink the cartridge is over or the head is been blocked from where the magenta ink comes out,
because red colour requires ---yellow plus magenta(pink)----to make it red.and ----dark yellow plus magenta(pink) -------- for brown colour.

Serious Color Printer Issues

This is to do with the way in which the cyan, magenta, yellow and black ink is mixed to produce all the colours e.g. to print "red" requires both magenta and yellow ink. Thus, if the magenta ink is not flowing for some reason, for example, the "red" will print out as yellow. So, make sure all your cartridges and nozzles are working properly.

If you need further help with this, please post a new comment to this effect.
