Screen goes black and SD-ms (memory card slot) light comes on..
My computer is a HP Dv6000 laptop. About 5 months ago the screen went all crazy, kinda like the matrix, and then I turned it off and when I turned it back on the screen was black and it would turn itself on and off over and over again making a clicking noise. So I left it off for a few days and when I turned it back on it was fine.. So then about a month after that it did it again and it wouldn't work for a month or so because the screen was black. Then it did it again last night but it came back on 5 minutes later but I noticed every time it does it the blue light on the side for the memory card goes on. So I know it has something to do with the memory card slot. Because the light isn't supposed to be on and it's only on when the screen goes black.. I don't have the money to get it checked right now.. If anyone can help that would be great.. Thank you.. Allison

i think your motherboard's graphic chip is having some problem. so you better take it to the servicing center to check the problem. try to place or keep your laptop when use in flat surface to allow air to smoothly flow in and out so that your laptop remains cool.
If you are hearing the beeps and the computer is not turning on, it may be an issue with the RAM(physical memory of the laptop). You might have to open the laptop and re-seat the memory cards, check the card in each of the slots to confirm if it is an issue with the slots. Most probably the issue might get resolved by re-seating the memory modules. Or else you might have to replace the memory.
