This means the screens need cleaning. Clean them with mild soap and water and let them dry. Replace them. Then while the hood is off, hold the minus sign down. The A will come on and then go off.

Battery light flashing jump it ,it will start but not run

It could be you have a fault in the Diode pack in the alternator you need to get this checked at an alternator repair center.

I have loss of power and when fan is turned on the idle drops killing the engine. What could be the culprit?

This seems to be pointing toward the alternator. When the fan is running, this can take a chunk of available current from the power supply. If possible, check the voltage across the battery when the engine is running. It should be up around 13.8 volts but doe this when you only have the engine running and no radio, fan or anything else switched on. If that's low, possibly 12 or lower, then the alternator needs either the connections checking for corrosion, the belt that it runs off tightening or replacing.

The check engine light on a 2001 ford explorer flashes 3 to 4 times

The engine light is there to tell you that the CPU has found sensors/ servos that are out side the set parameters. Run the fault codes and repair faults found.. Check the radiator level at the cap as it may be a low water level sensor.

From cold start, put heater fan on and lights flash on and off, when this happens altenator stops charging. has had new gen alternator but still faulting

Questions:
1. Which lights flash on and off?
2. How do you know alternator stops charging?
3. Who/Which Svc Dept. installed new gen alternator?

Step 1: Go back to shop/garage/svc department which installed new gen alternator - TELL THEM IT DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM!

You are describing an ELECTRICAL EFFECT... the CAUSES can be many!... not exclusively the alternator.

W1213, pre-wash and main wash lights flash with the 3 lines --- fault code. I tried entering the service mode as I read online I should push and hold start, then turn on the machine, wait for the dot and...

You are in the service mode now. The buzzer LED displays a flashing rhythm of 2 flashes while the ROM ID is show in the display(this is what you are seeing), press the buzz button to advance to the fault register level. My washer flashes "h" and "f" then stops.

1st, unplug the washer from receptacle. Wait one minute and replug. This will (in many cases) reset the logic board because of some fault it sensed while the machine was running. Now try the machine to see if it operates normally. If still not working, look in your instruction manual to see if there is a section that shows problem (fault) code letters. Some manuals show this info and some do not. If you see a trouble shooting section, it ma y have this info. See what fault code letters match waht flashes on the machine.
Most codes are for imbalanced load while spinning, water inlet valve interuption, overload of machine (too much clothes), power interuption (temporary loss of power while operating, overfill of water level (again usually do to too much clothes or too much detergent suds), a backup of discharge water. If disconnecting power & reconnecting does not reset the machine, check each of the possible problems mentioned. If still no results, you need a service tech visit. Good luck. Macgivor

Start light flashing wont start cycle, what does it mean

count the number of flashes- this indicates fault ie will flash 4 times stop, flash 4 times stop. To clear fault, hold start button for 3 secs. Try running another fast cycle- if fault reoccurs count flashes: Number of flashes:1=NTC fault, 2=Flood switch activated, 3=Heating fault, 4=drain fault, 6=water inlet fault, 7=flow meter fault, 8=water level fault

Howdy, I guess you're talkin' about a : Sony PFM-500A2W Plasma screen ?? The fault-codes your talkin'about " 12/22 " + continue re-starting " is a common problem with those plasma screens. It gives an " low power " message on the PDP module . We started today a discussion-group at google.com to get a clear picture at the Sony. We allso placed a " fault-code " list , so users can see what those codes are standing for. The main target of the discussion-group is ..... sharing knowlegde and information about the Sony PFM-500A2W. Schematics Problem solving fault finding Where to get any kind of parts. Print layouts etc. etc. The followin' link shows the discussion group. Please give us some time to startup the group.
