Needs a new circuit board. Replace the board, or sell it online somewhere "as-is".

Took battery out of working camera 4 months ago. Put charged battery in recently, but camera would not turn on. Reset with button but no change.

Do you mean your Nikon D80 battery haven't bean used for 4 months and you store it with no power? If so you battery maybe has been't damaged. Over discharge is heavy damage for Li-ion batteries. And when you store it with no power and for a so long time... You need to store it at 40% charger and at a cool but no cold place. Cold and hot are the killers of Li-ion batteries

How to charge battery

The specs on this camera say that it has an external charger. Sometimes the usb cord will also charge the camera, but not all the time (depends on manufacturer). You will have to contact Polaroid, most likely, unless you can find a generic charger at Best Buy, etc.
Here is some information about the internal charger of the camera from redpowers.com:
The Lifespan of the Polaroid T737 Battery The life of a rechargeable battery for Polaroid T737 Digital Camera operating under normal conditions is generally between 500 to 800 charge-discharge cycles.
This translates into one and a half to three years of battery life for the average user. As the T737 battery begins to die, the user will notice a decline in the running time of the battery. When a battery that originally operated the device for two hours is only supplying the user with an hour's worth of use, it's time for a new Polaroid T737 replacement battery.
Is it Possible to Upgrade the Digital Camera Battery to a Newer Chemistry? NiCad, NiMH and Li-Ion are all fundamentally different from one another and cannot be substituted unless the Digital Camera has been pre-configured from the factory to accept more than one type of rechargeable battery technology. The difference between them stems from the fact that each type requires a different charging pattern to be properly recharged. Therefore, the Polaroid T737 Digital Camera internal charger must be properly configured to handle a given type of rechargeable battery.

They didn't explain how to configure, but it should be in the software menu of the camera.

I found batteries for this camera on google, but couldn't find a charger. Looks like if you have the right type of battery, the internal charger (through the usb port) will work.
Good luck, thanks for using FixYa, and hope this helps.

My Kodak Easyshare Z1275 has short battery life. sometimes even newly charged 2600 MaH batteries cause problems. Powers up, lens extends, opens screen to set time and date then powers down. Sometimes i can...

wait, do you have Li Ion batteries or Ni MH?

I think that Kodak recommends Li Ion batteries which have a higher voltage on them.

I got some generic Li ion battery packs off of Amazon.com, with better specs. than Kodak, and they work fine for my Easyshare z1485 IS camera.

It cost me like $80 to get the charger and two battery packs that are Li Ion, but it's worth it.

My battery packs are rated at 2000 mAh 3.7 Volts each. It's the voltage that counts. You see, if you would split that in half, the voltage for each AA battery is 1.85V which is much higher than the 1.5V that regular Alkaline or Ni MH batteries are rated at.

I tried Alkalines, and Ni MH to no avail. But, the Li Ion batteries, did the trick for me.

Good luck on this 'repair' or battery upgrade.

Why i charge the baterry(GP2700) whole night when i snap the picture only 2 picture can use.many times already not only gp rechargeable baterry but (panasonic 2700) also.can someone solve my problem

If you have a friend who uses the same battery try one of yours in their camera to see if it works properly. Alternatively, try the opposite and borrow a known good battery from a friend and try it in your camera.

You either have a major problem in your camera, a coincidence of two dead batteries or a broken charger. Make sure all you connections are clean. Just a simple piece of printer paper rubbed over the battery contacts is enough to clean them. Ensure the charger connections are clean and even the connections in the camera. Check the lights on your charger. Is there any indication the battery is flat to start with and any indication of when it's charged? Usually a red light means the battery is charging and that light going out or turning green means it's charged. The battery shouldn't have to be on all night. Usually it should take maybe an hour or 2.

Finally, how long have you had your batteries and are they Li Ion or NIMH. Nicads are no good for digital cameras. They can develop memory problems. So if they are Li-ion or Nimh ensure you are using the correct type charger for those batteries

My T1 is experiencing power problems. I have several batteries and when the camera is plugged in it shows the charge light but the batteries just dont seem to hold power for very long. It seems unlikey...

DSC T1 li-ion batteries goes bad in a period of 3 to 5 years of continusly use (daily). i will recommend to buy a spear charger that charges the batteries without using the camera.

Camera (DMC-FZ10) got wet in a rain storm. Now

I suspect that water has damaged the electronics board in the camera. Unfortunately this is not a waterproof camera. Water will corrode the electronic components and eventually ruin the whole camera,
My suggestion is to claim it on insurance as they wilol repair or replace it on Home insurance. No one puts a camera in water intentionally unless its an underwater camea, so its considered an accident

Battery Problem

Sorry this isn't a solution, but I wish my 8700 would last even as long as yours does. 2 hours, period. on or off, taking pictures or not, two hours & it's a stone dead battery. Just on the off chance it will help I'm about to upgrade the firmware to 1.3 (I don't really think it will help). After that I've decided to take the camera apart & try to find the problem or possibly just a hack that will let me turn it OFF without removing the battery. I'd as soon have a bunch of bits for the project bin as have to put up with this 2 hour battery life problem. Good luck with your problem, and if I find anything worth while I'll post back.
