Question about Motorola For MT2000 HT1000 HT6000 GP900 JT1000 GP1200 MOBIUS MTX8000 MTX9000 MTS2000 7.5v 1300mAh NiCd Intrin... 2-Way Radio
I have two Motorola HT 1000 and they won’t talk to each other. Is it in the programming and can I fix it with the programming cable?
Your radios might need reprogramming. This is done by a Motorola dealer using the appropriate cable and software. The software is not available for end-users. Cost generally is $35-$40 US.
From the information you provided, it is unclear if the radios previously worked together; or if the radios are the same model number. These are facts the dealer would be able to inquire about, and it would help them determine if your radios can talk to one another.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
